I'd love to see John Smith (currently writing Indigo Prime in 2000AD) on Hellblazer. He's already written one issue years ago, #51 feat. Constantine trying to do his laundry (!), that I really, really liked. And his horror story Cradlegrave (again, in 2000AD) was one of the only horror comics that ever actually freaked me out.

And while we're at it, Edmund Bagwell would be a great artist to accompany him!
Si Spurrier would also be a good choice. He's like a mixture between Ellis and Delano!

HELLBLAZER: NEXT TEAM
I'd like to see Grant Morrison. Yes, he's done a few issues in the distant past, but I'd love to see him have is metafictional ways with Hellblazer.
Chris Roberson (I, Zombie) with Mike Allred. That would be awesome.
Mike Mignola Writing and Drawing.
Guillermo del Toro. That would be awesome.
Ed Brubaker.
George RR Martin.
Clive Barker.
Neil Gaiman.
Sadly, Tim is right. DC is going to cancel Hellblazer. Just like they're going to cancel every Vertigo title still living after DC Comics' ignominious "relaunch".

JACK KIRBY'S OTHER STANLEY KUBRICK PROJECT:
I'd choose either THE SHINING or EYES WIDE SHUT. The latter would be funny just to see the scenes of sexual debauchery in KIRBY ART and KIRBY KRACKLE.
On the other hand, imagine what new horrors Kirby would have added to THE SHINING.

I'll bite.
Worst Alan Moore?
Night Olympics?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DC_Universe:_The_Stories_of_Alan_Moore#.22Night_Ol ympics.22
Why?
Black Canary is a victim to plot.
Again.
This happened in the beheld early 70s GL/GA by O'Neill & Adams.
and in Longbow Hunters which happened "after" Night Olympics.
It's not bad art wise...Klaus Janson does all the work. Rooftops move like Daredevil just did. So the art ain't "bad"...but an ironically pointless story about a hero who uses arrows. read it yourself and I hope you also go "Uhmmm???"
but I remember reading Night Olympics in the DC Alan Moore TPB collection (including wickid awesome VEGA shorts!)
It's kinda a bad go-to in Ollie's story. (maybe that's why he killed Prometheus in that forgotten timeline...too many familial assaults but iDigress....)
thanks! again for another great article!
PS I frakkin' remember the 2001 MAVREL adaptation!
and my vote for a Kirby-drawn Kubrick adaptation...
BARRY LYNDON!

I would limit that to every Vertigo title using a DCU character. All original or creator owned will remain Vertigo titles.
