Kind of a stupid question, but does 616 Beast have the same personality as his Ultimate counterpart? I've really been enjoying Ultimate's dry sense of humor, and was just wondering if I'd like 616 Beast, as well?

Forget Ultimate and 616 Beast's personality, what's the deal with Avengers and X-Men Beast's personality!?

It largely depends on the writer. Comedy is a hard thing to write. But generally, yes, 616 Beast has a rather dry sense of humour.

I find Beast personality is one in particular that changes a lot from writer to writer, some use him only as an easy plot device, (whatever the problem is all of a sudden Beast has a scientifc solution). However when he is given oppurtunity to have a voice he can be a great straight man and deliver some pretty good lines.

I don't believe Aaron has written him, at all.

Aaron is new to X-Books, right?

Yes, very new, and mostly a Wolverine writer. Meanwhile, Beast hasn't significantly been in the X-Books for over a year.

He's either constantly trying to jam his intelligence down your throat, being a total loon/comedian, a perverted horn-ball with an insatiable appetite, or a homicidal/genocidal maniac of immense proportions...After putting all that down, he actually seems interesting. But nope.

I'm excited to see him write Wolverine and the X-Men. I'm also hoping it's not too Wolverine centered. But considering his name's in the title, it probably will be. :P

Dark Beast should just kill Hank once and for all and take over as the 'official' Beast of 616.
