I've been rewatching older episodes of Superman lately. And I wonder if an episode of Superman the animated series (like Mad Love or Mr. Freeze's origin) was adapted into the new DC continuity what would you pick? Personally I would pick "The Late Mr. Kent".

Love the animated series. I only own season 1. What's The Late Mr. Kent about?

I always thought the Animated Series had the most effective version of Toy Man. Creepy fun!

Absolutely! I love that episode, and it strikes as a great fit.

Clark Kent is assassinated with a witness standing by, so Superman assumes he has to leave his alter-ego behind forever and move on.

It's absolutely one of my favorite episodes of all time. Very moody, beginning with Clark watching his funeral from a distance. And things just get better from there, with a really cool payoff!

Interestingly enough, the way they introduced Supergirl in "Little Girl Lost" was similar in some ways to how they reintroduced Kara back in the DCU as Superman's cousin in 2004.
