Which do you prefer?

A lot of people will probably prefer Bizarro, but I loved the idea Morrison created from the creation of Zibarro and how truly alien he is from everyone else, even more so than Superman.

You can't have Zibarro without Bizarro. Z doesn't make sense outside of the context of living in a Bizarro-Home where nobody is on the same level as him.

I think Zibarro is Morrison's greatest creation. I think it is just fantastic commentary on anyone who feels special and is living amonst folks that just don't understand or even want to understand--just about all of us at one point or the other:wink:.

The Bizarro part of All-Star Superman is still my favorite part of that book. I always read it as a metaphor for depression.

Zibarro was a gret idea and a great character.

Quoted for truth. Perhaps Morrison will reintroduce the character during his AC run? Who knows...

I don't know, at least to begin with Grant seems to be working on a Superman who's more down to earth, were as All Star was very much a celebration of everything Superman, even the silly. I can see Bizarro and so on if Grant keeps this going as long as he did Batman. Though they're definitly introducing time travel and there's already mentions of the 5 dimension so who knows?

Personally I'd go Bizarro. I thought Zibarro was great but he was only in one issue, Bizarro has been with us for many years though many different interpritation. He's both a fun comic relief and also a kind of frankensteins monster senario. Except Frankenstein mearly wanted to be human, Bizarro believes or wishes to be a Super human/God on earth.

The one thing I will say is Bizarro dialogue grates me very easily. I'd rather it was down played. Also I love Grant's interpritation of Bizzaro as a kind of strange living organism of galatic proportions that mimics it's surroundings. Bizarro isn't just one character, he's a tiny part of a larger organism, like a skin cell.

Zibarro was fine as a one-time joke, he doesn't really make sense as a regular character. Superman is Bizarro's opposite, that's how the whole Bizarro concept works.

No, that's not right. Bizarro is a flawed reflection of Superman, not his opposite.
