Or it's just a random pedestrian?

Cool if it ends up being true.
But damn, Miles looks younger than 13. More like 10.

I'm not really sure that one is him. He looks like he's bald while Miles had a head of hair.

Miles lives in Brooklyn, so what was he doing over at Peter's house in Queens?

I think that's just the angle of his head, the dark line above his head seems to suggest hair to me.
Either way though I'm not sure they originally intended that random pedestrian to be the next Spider-Man, it's more likely that they instead chose to model Miles after him though so as to retro actively add him into the narrative in an easter egg sort of way.

What if he was heading there to find Peter to get help with his powers and was to scared/inexperienced to jump into the battle, thus, "Uncle Ben" moment?!?!

Nice find! I wonder if that's who it is... Seems too close in appearance not to be

If he's walked to school, I doubt his parents would let/not notice him sneaking out in the middle of the night.

Peter snuck out all the time as Spider-Man. Spider-Men are sneaky like that

Yea but that was after he became Spider-Man, this is before for Miles. Though from the picture, he seems to be the shy type so maybe being Spider-Man will help him to gain more of a sense of confidence in himself once the people of the New York start to appreciate him.

Just so we're clear here, Miles had powers already when Peter died. Hence the "Uncle Ben Moment". There's no way Miles conveniently got powers and makes himself a costume within a week after Peter dies.
No, Miles already had powers before Peter died and could easily have used said powers to sneak silently from his Brooklyn home.

I just fail to see the "Uncle Ben Moment" clearly the kid barely knows how his powers work, and Super-powered or not, having a 13 year old kid sitting in shock as Spidey gets a beatdown doesn't have the same resonance of the original origin.
I mean, he's THIRTEEN! What could he have realistically done?

Yes I know but- Wait, why are we even having this discussion? Peter's identity wasn't even public until after he died so how would Miles even know where to find where Spider-Man lived if he didn't even know Peter was Spider-Man?

My guess is Peter saved Miles at some point in his life and now that he's dead Miles feels responsible for not finding Spiderman before he died and offering to be his reluctant sidekick.

Well he took down the Kangaroo, who an overweight adult asian man got the snot kicked out of him by. So there's that...

I don't think he was there looking for Peter. That actually kind of makes no sense. It's quite possible that he was just there for some other reason. There's a bald black man next to him, who's to say he wasn't taking a walk with his dad when the Six attacked. Or maybe they were visiting his aunt who lives in Parkers' neighborhood. Miles felt helpless because he couldn't do anything and watched Peter die.
Either way, it'll all be explained soon. Very soon.

I don't think that's him,but who knows,it'll be cool if Bendis laid an easter egg for all the longtime readers but, whatever his connection to pete is,most likely,it happened off panel, either way,it's really sweet that we get the first two issue's in september,so alot of these questions about his origin, will be answered (hopefully) by the third issue.

If this is him, Bendis laid an egg all right (or more correctly, Bagley). I mean the kid in the picture is like what? 3 feet tall? Maybe 4? If that's the case, no one is gonna call him Spider-man. He'll be Spider-boy if anything.

I'm assuming, but logic is 87% on my side.
Uncle Ben Moment - Having the means or opportunity to save someone's life but failing to do so out of fear or arrogance.
No powers means no means. Which means Miles and the 30 other people who watched Peter die all had the same regular moment, not an Uncle Ben moment. And since we were told he had an Uncle Ben moment that means he had to have powers in place already and he chose not to use them regardless of his responsibility.
Also if he got powers within a few days after Peter dying that would be horribly convenient.

From the looks of the other pages he's not just going to school. It appears to be a voucher lottery, that why in the other pages everyone looks so worried or upset (not just Miles' family but other kids also).

Anyone theorizing what could be happening in this preview? I mean, is this a very serious bingo? Is this like a lottery to get into a good school?

That's the assumption so far. Either that or they are doing a lottery to see who becomes the new Spider-Man

Just google School Voucher lottery and you find plenty of articles about it. The practice is quite a controversial topic among parents and educators.
