Wish Suicide Squad were being written by Ostrander. Still like his Deadshot better than anyone else's, including Simone.

I'll be giving Marz' run on Voodoo a shot simply because I liked his Top Cow work. (The art is nice too) Hopefully, it proves worth following. That's it for this batch though.

You think the last time DC redesigned his look with a more metal-ized appearance they would have learned their lesson...sometimes an outfit is just classic (and iconically recognizable) and probably shouldn't be messed with that much... Or do artists really just love drawing all those extra metal bands and bolts around things.
Not saying I hate the new outfit, but it doesn't really seem like an improvement on the old one either (and like many of the DCNu outfits, not as iconic as the original, change for the sake of change...)
King Shark's buggy eyes look great however!
Harley Quinn I think is being matched to her Arkham City counterpart. This Deadshot seems to be a hybrid with the outfit he wore in Batman: Gotham Knights and the one from his mini-series years back.

That cover and solicit for Deathstroke have convinced me I made the right decision by not adding it to my pull list. In fact, the only "Edge" title I'm getting is Stormwatch at this point.

Weird that Voodoo was switched from Dark to the Edge.

You know, I absolutely love the cover, but the solicitation does sound a bit bland/boring. Strangely enough, I had the same reaction to the solicitation for Kyle Higgins' other book, Nightwing. Both books have just gone from pull-list to "try the first issue" status.
Also really, really like the covers for Men of War, All-Star Western, Blackhawks and Stormwatch.
Stormwatch solicitation sounds totally bonkers, which is great. Like the sounds of War and Western too. Blackhawks' fill-in artists have me concerned.

I'll be picking up Stormwatch, Grifter and Nen of War for the Edge titles. Still on the fence with Suicide Squad. Everything else is a no.

They did a lousy job of it then, imo, as they look almost nothing alike, (and the differences are all to the detriment of the comic version). If you look at the cover, there's absolutely no way Harley is not giving whoever in in front of her full-on nipple view. Maybe if they had kept the straps and higher neckline of the Arkham City corset/vest combo it would look a bit less ridiculous.

Just All-Star Western for me.

Such a blatant phallus representation on Blackhawks cover!
Also, Martian Manhunter's costume seems very awkward too.. :-s
Not to be a total negative post: I love how Voodoo #2 looks. I am getting more and more excited about this book. Ah, the nice lady semi-reminds me of Power Girl too, for Basri's sake :)

Voodoo was always Edge. Dark is Vertigo. Edge is Wildstorm

Can't say any of the Edge line are a must buy for me...probably like the look of Grifter and Stormwatch the most, but will wait to see reviews first.

Grifter, Stormwatch, and All-Star Western look good. OMAC and Men of War are maybes.
No Marco Rudy on Suicide Squad? Well there goes any reason to read that book.

OMAC's the one in this line up that had me giddy.. just looks like a wild and fast ride...
I actually quite like the cover for Suicide Squad. Harley wielding that enormous hammer is pretty hilarious.

Yay for Jack and the Engineer in Stormwatch, but who's the kid with Angie? No Shen I guess but is that Batallion and ...? I think J'onn is there to infiltrate them and learn how to take them down. Love Apollo's new look.

The kid is Jenny quantum. The black guy and the blonde are new characters. I doubt the Martian is there for that

I'm picking up Voodoo too. If not just for Basari's artwork, he is awesome.
The Allstar Western looks good, If I have extra cash I may indulge.
But I have no clue what is going on in that Deathstroke cover. Is he fighting Transformers now?
And what's with Black Hawks. Is there a robotic Guyver rip-off in that book now?
The kid is Jenny Quantum. The two guys way at the back are, i presume, 2 of the new characters. Which ones, not entirely sure. Seems likely Adam 1 is one of them. But Battallion and other older Stormwatch members have not been mentioned. At least not yet.

Definitely buying :
Stormwatch
Grifter
Suicide Squad
OMAC
Men of War
Blackhawks
All-Star Western
Passing on :
Deathstroke
Voodoo
Same buys and passes I had before the second solicits.
I can't wait for September !

There aren't really many other legal, surefire ways to find out whether the first issue of a series is any good without paying for it first.

Most of these titles sound really kooky. I dig it.
Simon Bisley doing the Deathstroke cover is glorious!

I’ll be getting:
• Suicide Squad #2: Well, planning on it but that fill-in already isn't helping the book's cause.
• All-Star Western #2

Am I the only one who LIKES Harley's new costume? I haven't been a comic fan for long at all so I am not as attached to the old costume as some people are, but I think the new one looks good.

You may be. I think they should have copied Harley's new look from Arkham City and been done with it.

I like the crazy emo warped tour look myself. It reminds me of that cute but crazed emo girl i liked in high school who olny listened to evanescence and Breaking benjamin while watching the homicidal maniac.
Only thing is she still connected to the joker.

That's a fairly snarky response, isn't it?
I know that if I'm borderline on seeing a particular movie, I'll read the reviews to get a general idea of whether it's a dud or not - if it's batting 10% on Rotten Tomatoes, chances are it sucks. I'm the one who'll make the ultimate decision but it's nice to have all the information at my disposal.
Surely the same applies to an extent for comic books.

I like Harley's new look. I've always hated her harlequin/clown costume (which is odd, because I LOVE everything else about Batman The Animated Series). But yeah, new Harley looks great in my book.

So little Deathstroke love. I'm digging its British-comics post apocalyptic vibe. If it can give me a dose of that every month I'll be onboard.
OMAC looks weird, in a good way. Big cosmic level action is a surefire way to my heart and it looks like this book might just strike me down.
Suicide Squad looks... well, it looks fun, but I'm not sold yet.

But seriously yeah, it is odd. I wonder how it will be explained that no one's ever noticed.

Man, Sami Basri draws women really well. Also, that Men of War cover is really nice.
But... none of these titles is really in the buy column right now. Stormwatch has the best chance. I'll need to consult the dark spirits and also the internet before making any commitments.
