Over the next week, month, year, etc. please post original artwork depicting Jamie Madrox in any of his incarnations!

This art can be new or old and in any medium. If it's an old piece please indicate approximately when it was created. And please feel free to comment on others' work, BUT remember, this isn't art class and all posters are encouraged to participate regardless of talent. Unless specifically asked for negative comments are not appreciated and will be reported to the moderator to be deleted. The next Draw Me An X thread will be posted in the coming weeks. So have fun and take your time!

Okay, I changed the pic a little. The joke was that the costume was too big because it was a costume he wore during the 90s when every comic book character seemed to be on massive amounts of steroids.

And yes, the dupe in his jammies has pigtails. :)

My version was inspired by atoningunifex's drawing.

I was going to go in and edit it a bit, erase some of the wilder pencils, put a floor in, (actually I DID do those things but my scanned fell while I was scanning and doesn't do anything more than groan occasionally when I turn it on. So it'll be a little while before I scan again, so I went ahead and posted this.

Thanks for the kudos, all. This isn't my fave drawing - I may retool the background and repost it. But the file was sitting in my desktop for so long I jusst wanted tyo consider it "done and out."

Bakla did you use Tom Cruise as a reference? Multiple sure does look like him.
Tag, there were no photo references for this drawing - I just drew it all freehand. That's one reason I don't like it so much - I was going for a certain look to his face but ended up just trying to make what I drew come out well, as opposed to drawing what I had in my mind.

You're right, bakla, it's a very powerful peice when zoomed in. I love how it's not just the pencils that make up the work---it's the the colorist and shading and use of of the finer things that make my eyes bleed happiness.

Okay, so my illustraion is nowhere near as sexy as Bakla's is, but I think it came out rather nicely. I drew my interpretation of Jamie's Government uniform (the one designed by Larry Stroman). To this day it is my favorite costume that he has worn- to the point where I am resentful of Cyclops's current threads just because they look like Jamie's from a distance. I also simplified Haven's costume- it was too guady and ugly looking. Infact, my favorite illustration of Haven ever drawn is the one below :). Of course, she's only been drawn by like 2 people, so that's not saying much.

Here's a quick Madrox - I had to draw it freehand using a mouse so it's a bit sketchy - when I gety my Scanner sorted I'll be able to put some more finished work up.
