After watching the e3 footage this game seems like too much of a boring beat-em up. The fact that you can only choose from 3 pre-created characters instead of creating your own is really dumb in my opinion.

every game EVERY game should have a fully customizable main character.

Oh come on... why make Gambit the bad guy. His stay with the brotherhood was quite short in the comics and thankfully they steered him off the Jason Todd path and made him a good guy. Carey made a huge step back with this direction for Gambit :(

I wouldn't be on that being permanent, seeing as how the article keeps hinting at his ambiguous nature ("Gambit leads the bad guys... or does he?" I don't know, article, you tell me.). Besides, Gambit's usually portrayed as less-than-transparent in the comics, from his debut to the X-Traitor to the Morlocks to the X-Ternals to Apocalypse's horseman to Magik's rescue. Even every single X-Men cartoon that he's appeared in paints him as less than trustworthy at first, and then eventually showing off his true, heroic colors.

Those two male player character options look rather bland.
At least the girl's design is distinct. Even if it is just another uninspired Japanese ninja schoolgirl.

I'm not a fan of that either. I really had high hopes for this game. But now they are starting to fade. It might be a good game but now its not going to be that fun X-men game I was looking forward too.

All it needs to do to get my money is to have same-system co-op, a new game + option, and be better than MUA2. that's not too much to ask, right?
