View Full Version : DC Relaunch: Changes to Green Lantern
As you all know, Flashpoint is triggering what seem to be some pretty huge changes to the DCU. Some titles, such as Teen Titans, seem to be going in somewhat new directions while others, such as Batman and even Green Lantern, have much lesser changes.
So what, if any changes, would you like to see occur to the Green Lantern franchise - keeping in mind what we know already about new titles and the like.

Perhaps a slight shift away from crossovers every few months and back to stuff that makes each book unique--namely the characters, because many of them can get lost a bit in very big stories, IMO.

I'd like to see less focus on the mythology and more on different adventures. It's felt for a while now that if I didn't want to hear about the history of the guardians and the emotional spectrum then I shouldn't read a GL title. The worldbuilding has been done, now let's have some adventures!

If anything I'd want less crossovers between them for a little while. Let each have their own voice rather than just be a part of a larger story.

I'm for each of these two (they're really just different versions of the same thing). Like most superhero books with the relaunch, I want to see the Green Lanterns go after people they don't have a personal stake in. No more revenge scenarios on either side of the equation. If Green Lanterns are supposed to be the space marine corps/cops, let them get involved in more situations where that holds true. Actually, that's something right there. I want them to be less space marines and more space cops, because then we wouldn't have as much likelihood to always see them going to war.
If they do crossovers, I hope they are handled the same way that Blackest Night was handled. Meaning: each story is self contained (for the most part), but are all part of a bigger story line.
