Dracula vs King Arthur? What the hell is the story behind this book?
Dracula vs. King Arthur is a 4-issue mini-series that my brother Adam and I have been developing and researching for the past 3 years.
Dracula makes a deal with the Devil to become the first vampire. He is sent back in time to the days of Camelot to face off against King Arthur.
Each issue is 32 pages long and features the art of Chris Moreno and Jay Fotos.
I hope that you will take a chance on us and pre-order the book when it is in the March Previews catalog for May release.
If you have any more questions feel free to fire away!

I finished the book seconds ago and here I am to comment on it........you deserve it seeing as how dedicated you are to the book.
In short..........I REALLY LIKED IT !!!
There you have it, job well done.
I did, I liked it very much. I'm always a sucker for Arthur stories....and Dracula stories too. Combining them is a great idea and you really delivered a nice first issue, known elements from both protaganists' well known stories, a bit more of Arthur as opposed to Dracula and you added a few twists to these elements, twists that will probably lead to another 3 fine issues.
Reading/finishing your book made me wonder, I thought about it a couple of times before with books from other publishers. The production value on your (and other indie) books are very high, paper quality is great. So great, it makes me wonder why the big companies don't have them, they are pretty much at the same price level now that your book is at, but these companies are freakin' large, while you guys are doing it by yourselves.....really makes me wonder why the biggies don't deliver their stuff like you do, for the same price your book is way superior than any of theirs...........not taking story and art into consideration, that's a subjective thing altogether, but there's nothing to be ashamed of in Dracula vs. King Arthur, on the contrary.
SPOILER ALERT FOR THE PEOPLE NOT HAVING READ THE FIRST ISSUE.....

I really liked your portrayal of Merlin, not the clean wizard in a robe with a pointy hat, but more a druid seer, cool.
Morgana will be turned..............omfg, she was a bitch already, but she will be the bitch of bitches now...and without knowing how this story develops from here already my guess is she will be a pain in Dracula's vampire ass now she's turned........just a hunch, I could be wrong.
Lucifer looked bad-ass by the way.
I liked it and look forward to the next 3 issues, good job.
One question.....A, C and N Beranek...are you 3 brothers working together?
Looking at the back of the book I noticed the Runes of Ragnan title coming up.......from the looks of it this will be another title I'll add, looks very promising. You're off to a good start here.

This was MUCH better than I expected it to be.
In the main, I was expecting this to be just another stupid crossover story, but I decided to give it a chance anyway, just in case.
But I really enjoyed it. The side-by-side intros of Arthur and Dracula were really effective in conveying each others opposing essence. The Dracula scenes in particular, especially his meeting with Lucifer, was nice and creepy.
Great first issue. I'll keep reading.

I can’t speak for how other companies price their books and what paper stock they choose. All I can say is that we’re able to provide 40 pages of quality entertainment for $2.95. If sales keep rising we’ll be able to keep doing so for quite some time.
We want to provide more to the fans.
One question.....A, C and N Beranek...are you 3 brothers working together?
Yes, we work together on the books! Adam and I write while Nick does the lettering.
Looking at the back of the book I noticed the Runes of Ragnan title coming up.......from the looks of it this will be another title I'll add, looks very promising. You're off to a good start here.
Runes of Ragnan is an amazing book by Ty Gorton, Josh Medors and Jay Fotos. It comes out this September and will be 32 pages long. Each issue contains 20 – 22 pages of high quality detailed artwork, d20 gaming stats, plus a Jack and Bastard back-up story. Check out http://www.runescomic.com for preview pages and other info!

I just finished reading this earlier tonight (came in the mail last week while I was on vacation), and I was impressed. You took time to tell Vlad's story, and still managed to hit the important points of Arthurian legend (and I loved the just-subtle-enough nods to Guinivere/Lancelot's relationship). This comic had some depth to it, especially in the nuanced and balanced depiction of Vlad Tepes III. I hope, that after this mini is over, we'll see him in an ongoing series.
I've already ordered issues two and three through my mail-order service, and I anxiously await both. Kudos to you and your brothers. Excellent work.

Issue 2 was a great read indeed.....Guinevere and Lancelot turned? Oooh boy, the medieval crap is gonna hit some vampire fan. And Excalibur is in Dracula's hands...........this is not looking good for Arthur. Those other 90 pages will go well with the ones that came before them. ;)
And about Runes of Ragnan...........the lcs was missing a box in their shipment...I'm pretty sure the book was in it...as was Supreme power : Nighthawk as that one wasn't in my pull box either. They are working it out right now and probably get the books delivered anyway. If not, I know how to contact you. :)

I dunno, with the exception of Excalibur, he's taking only the things that led to Arthur's fall. Mordred, Gwen, and Lancelot are Arthur's weaknesses, not his strengths.

You're right about that. We are basically telling the Fall of King Arthur, with of course Dracula now being the catalyst.
But Issue 3 will twist more than a few things around, this I promise.

Similar story. Met, I believe, Adam, at a tiny little convention in Minneapolis, MN. I was walking around the artist tables with my buddy and I said something along the lines of, "Man, these guys are just sitting here. If any one of them would just take some time, pull me aside, and tell me about what they're doing, I'd definitely lay down some cash for them. Everyone's just sitting around, though."
Not five minutes later, this guy just gives a hello as we walk buy and starts telling us about Dracula vs. King Arthur and offers to sign the issues we buy. So of course I hold to my promise, slap down five or six bucks for the first two issues, and walk away happy. I read them later and was surprised to be enjoying them.
Keep up the good work, guys.

I'm so glad I picked this comic up. If there were more independant titles like this then D.C.and marvel wouldn't be the monsters they are.

Just got mine in the mail a week (or so) ago, and I just finished it a few days ago, and the book is superlative. I was a little ticked about the long wait, but for once, I can see the reason: sixty-four pages of story and art! This last issue gave the entire series a true, epic feel, and I loved the prolonged battle. Reading all the issues now reminds me of how I felt when I first read Macbeth back in grammar school: doom, gloom, foreshadowing, action, tragedy, blood, battles, all on a grand scale.
My hat is off to you and your company for producing one of the best mini-series of this new century.

Episodes of the animated series are available over at http://www.comflix.net and I turned in a draft of the screenplay to Kickstart (the producers of WANTED) before the WGA strike commenced. Hopefully that mess will be cleared up soon so we can get back on track with development of the feature film...
