Bob Layton got Liefeld to finish the last of Deathmate didn't he?

Yea, my friends at the Image Addiction Podcast set me straight on that. It was uber late though.

I wish them luck, though it'll be hard in this market (and especially with properties that have been tried and retried in the last 15 years). Loved the original X-O Manowar and thought Bloodshot was decent. Never was a fan of Magnus, Rai, or Shadowman but thought Eternal Warrior had potential. But most importantly, does this mean we could see the return of Quantum & Woody?
I really hope this line does well. I loved most of the line but Shadowman, Eternal Warrior and Rai were my favorites. They'll get my support if done right.
hmmm since Dr Solar, Turok and Magnus are being published by Dark Horse does that mean that they won't be part of the line or did I miss something in the interview (I kinda skimmed it)?

It was quoted on another thread here( possibly Cuneo?) that Gold Key are not in the hands of the current Valiant. Was Windjammer part of Valiant? Would like to see more of Grell doing independent stuff.

Windjammer was specifically for creator-owned titles - I think Shaman's Tears moved to Image briefly after Valiant went under. So the new Valiant wouldn't have any rights to those properties.
It'd be great to see them launch a creator-owned line but it seems unlikely in the current market.

It was the other way around. Shaman's Tears started from Image, and then Grell started the spin-off Bar Sinister under the Windjammer imprint.

Thanks for the info and maybe a creator owned through Valiant would be possible if some properties are seen as making the multi media transition.A Scout film or maybe a Grimjack movie? Too much to hope for.

Thanks for your update as well.I stumbled across some Bar Sinister but haven't had time to read it yet.It would be nice if Valiant got an agreement with Grell to collect Starslayer and Sinister.
Wow, didn't notice they got a former Wizard exec on staff. Isn't saying much for support or longevity now is it. The Marvel guy came from the Secret Invasion/Civil War era so they can come up with pretty shocking events to lure in new readers and tick them off later I guess.
