I was wondering how long the various studios have the license to Marvel franchises and which characters are covered by that.
For example Scarlet With and Quicksilver. Are they X-Men characters or Avengers.
What puts a character under the Spiderman License. CLoak and Dagger apeared first in Spiderman yet are potentially being developed as a TV show.
Inhumans first appeared in Fantastic Four so what happens with them?
Silver Surfer was in the FF film but is a franchise on his own. So because he appeared can Marvel not use him.
Whent he franchise was arranged do they have a list of characters.
Could Marvel make a New Mutants movie?
Now that Namor is an X-Man does that make him fox property?
If Marvel wanted to make a Silver Sable move could they?

The details aren't public so we only know the broad outlines, but the general idea seems to be that most of the licensees retain the rights as long as they keep using the properties. Sony keeps Spider-Man as long as they keep making Spider-Man movies, ditto Fox and the X-Men. Yes, it's a terrible deal, but that was typical of Marvel during the bankruptcy era.
As far as which characters are covered by which license, unless Marvel or a studio has commented on a specific case, it's unclear. I don't think whichever comic a character first appeared in is relevant. It would depend on the language of the license, to which we're not privy.

I found this article (http://screenrant.com/marvel-comics-movies-characters-carl-6766/) when I was Googling to try and find out about the F4 movie rights; it has a list at the end of various characters the different studios supposedly have the rights to, though I'm not sure how accurate/complete it is.
There doesn't seem to be any clear info on the circumstances in which the rights revert to Marvel, though. This article (http://screenrant.com/stephen-moyer-dr-doom-fantastic-four-rob-75734/) claims that the F4 reboot is/was supposed to start shooting this year for a summer 2012 release, but it all seems to have gone suspiciously quiet since last summer. Anyone heard anything since?

I want Scarlet Witch to be with Marvel Studios so she can be in the Avengers franchise, but sadly I belive her and Quicksilver are with Fox. I wish someone would ask Kevin Feige about those two during an interview.
