Finally some action!!! Is it too much to ask for Fraction to pick up the pace?

Widow, Falcon, Shang Chi and Bucky Cap?!?

...We're gonna need a bigger boat!

That said, I'm really loving Buck back as Cap even even if it's only for little while longer.

All events should be like this.....where the heroes face a threat that they have no clue how much stronger it is than they are.

Its funny, you say one thing then your tag says don't buy it. It is a $.3.99 book.

Bucky won't die. He'll just go down and be out for the rest of FI. Steve will get pissed and take back the mantle.

Bucky can't die! He's gone through so much to get here, and his costume is so amazing :[

If he does die and it is not the most glorius death Marvel's ever had, I'll be fuming.

Please fake your death Bucky!!! That'd be the ultimate fakeout.

Someone is solicited to "die", that's a given. Who else would it be?

If the shield is blocking a blow from one of them hammers he should be fine.

guess the hammers aren't close to as powerful as thor's. doubt the shield woulda held up to that very well

It said a major hero would fall to his hands, it could just be describing the Thing becoming one of the worthy. I hope that's it...

I don't buy at all that Bucky is going to die in something Ed Brubaker didn't write.

I am going to be incredibly sad if Bucky dies. Even if it's the most epic, glorious, bad-ass death in comic history, he's my favorite character and I want him to stick around for a long time. Especially with Brubaker writing him.

So just when we thought that he died in that plane explosion he's actualy alive and returns in the modern age, only to die again.

And what's with not revealing the bottom panel of the original cover? It's already been shown in thumbnail view in Journey Into Mystery, and from the location of the latest hammer (Yancy Street) and Reed's dialog plus other solicits we already know who's depicted there.

Damn! Things are getting really intense now. Hope that sheild holds as I really am a huge fan of Bucky. I think Bucky will be OK. Really glad to see Shang-Chi in the mix as I'm a huge fan of him as well. Can't wait until next Wednesday.

The text intro is interesting, stating quite directly that Odin's plan is to burn Earth like he was Surtur instead of Odin. If the Asgardians actually attempt this, I'd hope that they'd not only no longer be welcome living in Broxton or anywhere on Earth, but that any Asgardians not known to have rebelled against Odin would be ordered shot on sight whenever seen again.

Of course, all the really worthwhile Asgardian characters will rebel against the order to burn the planet, unless written entirely out of character. Volstagg, for one, knows that kids live there, and as established over decades would starve to death before killing a single innocent child, let alone millions.

That's my reasoning as well. Bru brought him in, it be a shame for him not to carry him out.

Even if it is with him taking out nazi robots and protecting America and the World at large, which would be a great way for Captain America to die if he had to.

If there's 3 folks guaranteed to side with Thor against Odin, it's the Brothers 3. We already saw that they don't agree with what's being done.

As for Bucky dying, Sin had a vision that she would get the hammer and kill Captain America. She already did the first thing, it wouldn't be a surprise if she does the second.

I hope so as well, although the evidence seems jarring.

Also remember guys, Brubaker helped plan this event, so him not being involved in Bucky's death (providing it happens) would not be entirely true.

I know it sounds dumb, which is why I'm vying for an incredible fakeout in true superspy fashion.

For some reason, Shang-Chi seems completely out of place. He just happened to be in Washington, D.C. at the time of a Robo-Nazi attack? Now he's using his fists and fury to combat walking death machines? Yeah, it just seems kind of tacked on.

And...completely badass.

Isn't this a perfect time to use heroes like Blue Marvel? Now we actually have a threat that he can chip in without being overpowered.

It just seems weird to not feature these heroes now when the threat warrants it.

He could've been one of the reinforcements called in to back up the Secret Avengers.

It would be nice to see a LOT of heroes, even if just in one panel, fighting in these large scale events. Why not show a panel of Britain with Captain Britain, Black Knight, and others? Show other areas BESIDES NYC and the heroes there, and if you are going to show NYC (which is where EVERYTHING seems to happen), show some other folks besides Spidey and the Avengers.

Well, looks like we won't even see the Heroes of Paris, even in statuary form, in the Paris issues of Iron Man.

I pointed out a similar situation in Amazing Spider-Man #658 when the FF were repelling an Polemachan invasion alongside Arkon, when you would expect that Ben's Parisian colleagues would have been there first. Such is the fate of these one-off throwaway teams.

Yeah. I read in an interview that he was supposed to be back on the team, but I haven't seem him since his arc ended.
