Get a mod to change it.

His name is no longer Legion.....it is Ben 10,000. Now we just have to wait for Kevin, Gwen and Grandpa to show.

I think it is an interesting direction for a character that is to powerful for anyone's good. i think it will fix the problem that m day created. Even if it is a quick fix for the whole thing the Marvel world will forget the crappy m day thing in few years and everything will be great. that was the best thing about the mutant population was all the different powers and how the affected the world and the person possessing the powers. I say go for it, the crappy mutant status quo has gone on long enough.

Marvel does not want to reverse M-day. Wanda or Legion could have done it an instant. Instead we get Hope.

The ones who want to be cured, anyway.

Steves files might have said Legion can restore the depowered mutants, yes. However that doesn't do anything about the mutant birth rate to which seems still rather low. I might have this wrong, but the X-Men used to be able to detect both active and inactive x-genes prior to M-day didn't they? Didn't they usually only visit those whos powers had actived though?
Anyway, I'm interested in whats the trade off? If Legion is repowering mutants he feels should be repowered, what is he giving up, it seems kind of major and should probably be costing himself on the flip side.

We can still hope they realize how stupid the effects of M Day going on this long with no amazing story to speak of bc all the damn mutants are to scared of there limited numbers to cause a ruckus is. I want my millions of mutants and armies of mutant villains back, and I want them back, NOW!!!

I don't see why it would impact Legion. I suppose it could cause him to lose abilities/personalities but he has so many. And we only know of one repowered. The side effects of Hope's power activation seem far more sinister.

Legion and Hope should get married and repower everyone together.

It'll probably depower him like they depowered Nate to make him a more useable character.

So he is taking after his dad by chasing hot young redheads?

I can see them doing that during the Space Arc. He definitely needs some sort of limiter.

I've never read a story w/ Legion in it that I liked. Legion needs to go away.

Legion is great, he gave us the Age of Apocalypse.

I will take Legion and Rachel going on a "repowering" world tour in their little winnebago with a couple of younger mutants in tow as interns. It would be a gradual wearing away of her ego but I think Rachel would respond to Legion's clumsy advances at romance. They'd be the crown prince and princess of the mutant world more than that bore Franklin Richards could ever be.

Legion's fine. but for gods sake, can we PLEASE do something about his 'cool in the '80s' high top fade?
just.... let it fall down or something.

What could Steve know more about the solution to m-day than the X-Men?
Still interesting though.
But that would make the whole Messiah Trilogy a waste, when the savior was someone else.

I'm pretty sure looking back at the Messiah Trlogy and the current state of the mutant race and Hope that it is a waste.

While I agree with Regino that Legion has never interested me as a character, I also agree with Rhoades that "Age of Apocalypse" was an amazing story that used Legion to get the ball rolling, and if he can also bring back the powers of mutants who got the shaft I'll be ok with him sticking around the X-Books. If he could go back in time and grab the AoA Bishop and yank him back (also, AoA Blink and AoA Morph wouldn't hurt) I'll buy a regular series starring him on principle.

I really like Legion, but even disregarding that factor - I still think Legion is probably the most logical and rational means of correcting M-Day. On a more personal note, I hate that the X-Men comics were limping along because of somebody who was only mildly related to the X-Men to begin with (Scarlet Witch), so it would be awesome to finally have this mess corrected by an actual X-Character. I also just like the idea of Legion finally having a prominent position in these comics.

yeah he looks like a mental patient.
Considering he is a mutant with split personalities that take on physical and psychic attributes, I'm assuming that "mental patient" is exactly what the artists and writers have gone for - and it obviously works.

Legion is great, he gave us the Age of Apocalypse.
The lead up to AoA was not good, IMO. I tried reading those issues recently, and I just had to stop. I thought AoA was interesting, but not because of anything Legion-related.
Legion has the potential to be a great character, but his stories just fizzle out. The only time I looooved him was when Shadow King took control. Then he died and it was good. Or he was mindwiped, but no one can really remember that far back. Human recall is limited.
