I know it's been awhile since this issue, but I was rereading them and I wanted to see what opinions you guys had on the matter. I didn't know about CBR when I originally reading it, so I never got a chance to ask.

I'll post links to both pages! My scanner is a beast! and in case you were wondering what I do with my comics is I buy them and then my friend, who's dad has this really expensive scanner, scans them in so I can read them on my iPhone! It's pretty nice! :cool:

I think that Peter's in the clear here. MJ broke up with him in the first place. That means that he's a free man! MJ has no right to be mad at him. She can't expect to break up with him and then he goes celibate for the rest of his life. I think "Queen of Crazytown" was pretty accurate.

What I find hilarious and sad is that MJ is berating him for throwing himself at Gwen as soon as they broke up, yet saw nothing wrong when Peter came to her for comfort... the very same night he broke up with Gwen :frown: . I mean, what the hell?

Sure, it might have been bad timing, but it shouldn't have been MJ's business anyways. She dumped him and Gwen was there to cheer him up. It wasn't like they had a thing going behind MJ's back while they were still dating. The fact that this happened though was a huge sign that MJ wasn't over him as we all know now.

This is Highschool relationships we're talking about (1 week on, 1 week on, drama, 2 weeks on, 3 days off, drama, drama, drama, girl experiments, drama, 3 weeks on, drama, etc, etc.) So Peter was being more than kind enough to wait as long as he did. Besides, she broke up with him so she loses all credibility right there.

This is why I liked Peter with Kitty. As much as I like MJ as a character, she comes across as kind of a drama queen at times. I mean she hated Gwen for so long before they finally became friends and Gwen didn't do anything. MJ was just being catty, and despite what girls think that is a major turn-off. Kudos to Peter for even putting up with her let alone giving her 3 chances! Must be the red hair :cool:

Well re-reading the ultimate spider-man stuff Kitty was, literally, more catty than MJ ever was. She was constantly paranoid that Peter was mad, or going to break-up with her, and after the whole thing with Morbius she just went APE-SHIT, which MJ never did. I loved the idea of Pete and Kitty, but actually looking back? It was never going to work, which is too bad. Maybe Kitty gets with Jimmy? I kinda like the emotional signicance there.

But Peter is in love with MJ which is why he waited so long. No matter what happens he believes they'll end up together. MJ obviously didnt tell him why or give him a decent reason.. my guess? After ultimatum she thought Pete was dead and had grief sex with another man!!! :eek: But then Pete comes back and blah blah... im sure it wasnt THAT, though... or maybe it was... women are schemey like that... :biggrin:

It's never been properly explained why they broke up again, it was just a shock tactic to sell the book. I don't think Bendis knew where he was going with it either, hence why Peter and Gwen did a big load of nothing before MJ got back with him.

I just put it down to the fact there both young and young people make dumb decisions sometimes. My wife broke up with me five times in our history together (known her since childhood)

Lol, that deserves an "amen!" I liked that too. It kinda helped downplay a good guy going for a "bad girl," so to speak. Then again, we've been shown that MJ has that side and could potentially grow into it..

Either way, I just love these characters. I really would be interested in seeing how they grow up and what they're like. I wonder what Bendis could do with that?
