Get it from the public library; I read all 11 trades that way.

Or just sit in the nice, comfy chairs at Barns & Noble or Boarders and read them that way.

Or you could, you know, buy them. (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/search-handle-url/index=stripbooks:relevance-above&rank=relevance20041029rank&field-keywords=Sandman&search-type=ss&bq=1&store-name=books/ref=xs_ap_l_xgl14/002-8264742-9652021) If that isn't too old fashioned for you. All of the trades together can probably be had for just over a hundred bucks.

And its definetly worth having them in your hand and on your shelf believe me.

Actually, while not against the rules here, we DO discourage downloading illegal copies of comics.
Go to Barns & Noble, Borders or any other big chain bookstore and read 'em for free, if ya don't want to pay for them. Or check your local libraries.

Whoa, how do you figure? In Canada, even if I bought all 11 trades during my store's semi-annual sale, I'm still footing well over $200 to get it all...

Sorry, I was just going by Amazon's listed US prices. You're absolutely right, here in Canada the total is about twice as much. DC and Marvel have been discriminating against Canadian consumers with their trade prices for years, but that's a separate topic.

Or, ya know, you guys could ask someone you know who lives in the US to pick them up for you and ship them to you... I'm sure they'd do it if you pay for the books and shipping. Sounds like that would still work out cheaper than buying them used in Canada.

You live in the Great White North too? Should have guessed; where else could "Sweet Oblivion" be? ;)

I've been buying the new trades for my girlfriend over the last few months, and wish to chime in with how expensive they are, nearly £120 for the set here, but as Rogue says, it is good to have 'em in your hands! I also managed to get the first book signed by Dave Mckean, and he sketched a little cat on the iside cover for Sally. She's be ga-ga since christmas!

There is a store in Oakville, ON just off the 403 at the Dorval Drive Exit called Comic Connection that sells TPB's for US cover price plus 10%. A Great way to save a ton of money on those Expensive Books.

Not bad; I go to Cyber City Comix in North York, 20% off everything with membership (1 time fee of $20).

after trying zcultfm google DCP comics than you should be able to download every comic that comes out on any given wednesday, this way you can read them all for free.you will never have to buy a comic again, unless you are into the hobby like i am and love to own them, but if not than there you go.

Yay! Let's torrent comics and let our local comic shops die horrible deaths!
I don't really torrent or d/l comics. Mainly I download ones I already got to make wallpapers and such. Otherwise, I might download them to check them out, but generally I can do that in the store itself. The only time I really downloaded with no intent to buy was Identity Crisis, but that was just to see how bad things were. It disgusts me that DC is printing more reprints of this crap and they're selling. Ugh. Just ugh.

Anyone realize the irony of illegally downloading a medium that used to be primarily about truth and justice and all that crap?
This is also the only site that I've seen that tolerates this kind of rampant piracy, and it's kind of disgusting.

Since y'all decided to NOT get the hint the first time around, I am going to give you hint #2 and close this thread. This isn't baseball. You don't get three strikes.
