Congratulations to djsweet for guessing yesterday's characters, The Vision and The Vision.

After thirty-nine rounds and going into this, the final round, our scores are:

Sagafan - 13
Dog - 7
SuperCooper - 5
strathcona - 4
agrich - 3
Cthulhudrew, Ravin' Ray, djsweet - 2
StoneGold, Pumpkin Bomb, andybmcd, Tekkaman Blade, TanGent (tie) - 1
Everyone else - 0

For the final round, I was torn. Do I do another double? Do I just do a really obscure character? Do I make it an easy one and try to stump you all? Do I throw Dog a bone (no pun intended) and have it be Freak? Or do I want to do something else entirely.

So here's the deal. We're playing Clue. This round has three correct answers: a character, a location, and an object. "Colonel Mustard, in the Drawing Room, with the Revolver," basically. You must guess all three to get the points. If you guess on the first clue (which seems unlikely, but you never know), it's nine points. After that, it's three.

I have no idea if this will work, but I think it might be fun.

Clue #1A: This character is extraterrestrial in origin.
Clue #1B: This object can give its owner superhuman strength.
Clue #1C: This location is a man-made structure.

I wasn't 100% on Thunderstrike, but I knew the others had to be right.

Woo! Second place, considering I only had 1 point until the 37th round, I am alright with that.

Nice game E.D. When are we gonna do it again?

G.W. BRIDGE!

Oh, shit...

Sagafan
03-31-2011, 06:22 PM
Huh, well done on that one strathcona. I was looking for some connection between the correct answers like a shared issue or something. Never would have got that.

Also, Yay! I won. My prize is knowing I've read to many Marvel comics I guess.

Wow, a beautiful run, this contest, with a recap. Good work to strathcona on this last one. And congrats to Sagafan.

I've learned lots of Marvel history from joining, and it forced me to do a little research to get those answers. Who woulda thunk a contest would motivate me to do all that.

Can't wait for the next round! After a much-needed break, of course.

It was a lot of fun. Can't wait for the next one. And with that I'm off to ponder the newest installment of the What If You Could Guess the Classic Cover contest. Away!!!

Lots of fun, E.D. Congrats to Sagafan.

I have been wondering what the next few clues might have been on The Thing if it hadn't been guessed on the first guess. "This character has fought the Hulk" perhaps? Or maybe, "This character has blue eyes" or "There has been a female version of this character..."

Anyway, it was fun.
