Skrull X-Man!!
Why was FIZ the only male alien allowed to join the ranks of the X-Men? Why is it that aliens get ridiculed when joining the X-Men and are considered no more than pets (case in point Lockheed)? Must Fiz and the rest of Cadre K return to the ranks of the X-Men? Why hasn't Adam X, the third Summers Brother, joined the X-Men already?

I'm alien and I am a mutant!
When will Lockheed be granted X-Man status? Why does he keep being referred to as Kitty's Pet when he is far more intelligent and dangerous than most X-Men?
http://www.acmecomics.com/files/lockheed.jpg
He can defeats foes no X-Man can
Why aren't there more male alien X-Men?

he's not an X-Man, he's a New Mutant. Should he be granted X-Man status?

If people are concerned there aren't enough male characters of a certain ethnicity I can be concerned there aren't enough Asian or Alien characters as well, specially considering they have had even less consideration than some other ethnicities, don't I?
But if that is your wish I'll just confine my concerns to these

I mean, Valeria and I 'insult' each other all the time but then again we are friends and do it in a friendly manner - calling somebody an 'ass' and for somebody to agree with that sounds kind of harsh to me, but that's just my humble opinion.

I shot at the insult without looking to see if someone was really being an ass (through all of the recent board activity). That was all.
EDIT: My full post got lost in my many browser tabs. To be honest, I'm really not into the X-Men mingling with aliens at all. I make an exception for Adam-X, the X-Treme, because he was created to be a part of the Summers mythos--the son of Katherine Summers and Emperor D'Ken, while Christopher Summers was trying to get the rebellion going. That, and he's !@#$in' AWESOME, BROS.
I make an exception for Warlock, too, but I'm not sure why.
On the whole, X-Men, to me, is about human/mutant relations and the things that come out of those stories--not Limbo and M'Kraan Cyrtsals.

I'm sorry, but this thread is completely offensive if this is comparison to the black male and Asian male character thread. The reason why diversity seems to be a problem in comics is because of the unfortunate experiences that minorities have faced in society. Aliens obviously aren't real beings in the real life and, therefore, have not experienced the oppression and discrimination that blacks and Asians have faced in the United States.

have you scoured the entire universe and can say for certain there is absolutely no intelligent life in another planet other than Earth?

One could argue that European (male) characters are being discriminated on in the comic book too.

Don't be ridiculous. In the comics, aliens are a fantasy and are not supposed to be real people compared to Earth. My main point is that comparing real life discrimination of aliens to real life "races" is just...wrong.
Aliens are supposed to be another "race." I actually don't believe in race, and, yes, there are different ethnicities, but collectively we are human, even though people have separated ethnicites into different races and treat them as if they're from another planet. That's why it's called racism. This is why that comparison is offensive, among other things I can think of.
The problem with a lack of diversity in comics is not a problem of the characters' themselves. The character's aren't real and can't really get hurt. Who can get hurt are the readers and the hurtful ethnic and cultural misrepresentations in comics (and the media because this isn't a problem with only comics).
The argument isn't the question of intelligent life on other planets. You could go there, but it's a distraction point from my main argument, which seems people don't want to touch.

I started this thread because if people can complaint there aren't enough X-Men of a certain ethnicity I can complaint there aren't enough Alien X-Men. I was always very fond of Fiz and Lockheed for example (not to mention the GREAT Cerise) and I do find it unfair for them to be ostracised and not characterized properly.

Open discussions about race should be healthy, in my opinion, but unfortunately some people are just stupid about it. The discussions can be healthy to see others' viewpoints on diversity. It shouldn't be an immature conversation where people nitpick the little things that don't count. This is the reason why there should be more conversations about racism - some people just don't get it and become defensive by the people who are offended by the misrepresentations of race. It's too bad people get so defensive with the word "diversity." No wonder there is so much racism in the world.
Anyways, I am getting sucked into an immature argument that probably won't get anywhere, so I should just bail before everything becomes a circular motion of shooting the same arguments against each other.

Very true Aimee. They deflect substantial arguments with immature humor because they'd rather not not confront the problem or talk about it. Notice Valeria had nothing to contribute to the other thread but made this thread in response. Even the moderator knows he'ske is full of it. This is a bait thread. Nothing more. Nothing less.
