Action Comics, Detective Comics, The Flash, and Batgirl are the best so far in my opinion. Batman Inc is Morrison greatness, but it's getting delayed a lot. Not reading Thunder agents, but i hear it is good.

Secret Six is the best comic on the stands from any company. I still maintain this stance even only after reading 3 or 4 issues from last year. Maybe the quality has changed, but if it hasn't, then great.

I can't even begin to tell you how sick I am of all of the green lantern stuff out, but Emerald Warriors is a solid book. I hate the current state of Batman, but I begrudgingly admit that Batman Inc has started well. Justice League:Generation Lost is good, as is Booster Gold. The Flash is always worth a read, too.

It's a bummer to see that no one has yet mentioned Jonah Hex. It's DC's most consistently well-produced (both in terms of writing and art) book. Even if you don't like Westerns (I initially didn't), it's most definitely worth a look. The series is almost entirely comprised of done-in-one stories about a grizzled, badass bounty hunter named Jonah Hex. That's all you need to know, and you can jump on at any issue throughout the series. What's there not to love? Go check out Jonah Hex. You'll dig it.

Hmm how can you say such a thing if you have only read 4 issues from last year?
Although yes, S-6 is awesome.

Hey, it is what it is. I read them and it was the best comic book series I ever read. I've read other series for much longer obviously, but S6 stands out to me as being the best I've ever tried. REBELS was a one of the best series I've ever read after reading just 3 or 4 issues of that last year too. And, from previews I've read, Jonah Hex looks to be up there too.

Current best by a mile = Generation Lost.
Does Jonah Hex count? If not;
-Green Lantern: Emerald Warriors
-Birds of Prey
-Batman Inc.

Fair enough. I don't disagree with you, they are both awesome.
Out of interest, what issues did you manage to read?

The S6 issues were during 'The Depths' (or The Deep?) and the REBELS issues were, like, issues 1-3 or 4.

Detective Comics is the only one right now that I would call a clear-cut great comic with no issues holding it back.
Batman Inc and Flash are close. I expect Batwoman and Xombi to be there once those come out. Some other titles that I don't buy on a regular basis, but they're good: Action Comics, Generation Lost, Batgirl. I like Brightest Day but don't really count that since the different stories vary in quality and it's done in a few issues anyway.

All the Batman books I read are good but I wouldn't consider any great. Inc is well written but they idea leaves me a little cold, Detective is too early in it's new direction to tell, ditto Red Robin and B&R and Tony Daniels is still finding his voice as a writer so Batman is uneven yet

At the moment?
In no particular order...Batman Inc, Action Comics, Detective Comics, THUNDER Agents, Doom Patrol, Batgirl, Secret Six, Power Girl, Generation Lost, Legion of Superheroes/Adventure Comics, Jimmy Olsen backup/special, and Knight and Squire.
I've heard very good things about David Hine's work on "Azrael" as well.

Best of the best, in my opinion:

Spencer has already said he is not leaving THUNDER Agents despite being Marvel exclusive. In fact, none of his current work appears to be stopping, so I assume the Marvel exclusivity only applies to new work.

Batman Inc

amazing 2 issues.
favorite part is when they arrive in japan and catwoman is looking at a poster and book for tentacle rape hentai and then later she gets stuck in a tank of water with a giant octopus tentacle monster and the end picture of her was hilarious... cmon to capture a scene like that in a comic the way they did it was priceless.
the absurd over the top villain... batman channelling the coolnesss of james bond.
action, comedy, funk, style.... art.. japan.
what's not to love.

Absolutely. It's the most fun I've had with any particular title in years.
Whereas I really (really!) don't like Jock's artwork and would have been picking up Detective with a different artist on board. So each to their own, huh?

My favourite DC titles at the moment, in no order:
- Birds Of Prey
- Batgirl
- Batman Inc
- Detective
- Zatanna
- Action
- Teen Titans
- Wonder Woman
Of these, only Wonder Woman is something I wouldn't heartily recommend to anyone. But that's more about where this run started then where it's going, which is actually promising.
Of these, I reckon Cornell's Action, Snyder's Detective and Batman Inc will be remembered as modern classics, while Miller's Batgirl will be remembered with fanatical fondness by the small cult that read it (ala Young Justice).
Teen Titans is on the upswing, so fingers-crossed, and Zatanna is the best pseudo-Vertigo series set in the main DCU since Swamp Thing. It needs more love.
I also buy the odd Red Robin issue for Cass Cain or Batgirl appearences, and I borrow the new Superboy off a friend. I'll trade wait those.
So, yeah, I'm pretty happy with my DC books at the moment.

I love reading Green Arrow & Superman/Batman. Green Arrow has been great since they "rebooted" following Blackest Night, with JT Krul doing wonderful writing to completely change the direction and tone of the character...... Superman/Batman has fallen off the radar since Jeph Loeb left, but still has great writing, good artwork and very good stories. I know it's out-of-continuity, but a good story is a good story.
