It's sort of a short hand for The White Guardian, one of my favorite Doctor Who characters.
It started out as a thing I had to do for my aim screen name back in middle school and I've just sort of liked my little contraction since then.

This new set up is going to take a bit to get used to, every time I go to quote some one it opens up your message for editing. I'm so used to the quote button being the only option that I click the fist one out of habit.
