i was really looking forward 2 the english dub of that anime and it seemed very different so does anybody know if they are ever going 2 release it in NA/USA

It's been licensed in Italy and Germany, but no word that I can find on English localization. Times are tough for domestic distributors, so it's difficult to say if it will ever come over. It's got an excellent pedigree and it looks great, but that's not enough to guarantee distribution and licensing. Odds are that it'll get a streaming subtitle release through someone like Funi or Crunchyroll before it ever sees television or DVD.

That was the problem... an entirely intelligible sentence with multi-syllabic words, but he balks at writing the word "to"? If he'd written, "i lwuz lookin 4wrd 2 dub 4 michiko2hatchin wen iz comin 2 USa?", then I would have just sighed and ignored it. This was just right in the uncanny valley of crappy lolspeak.

Nevertheless, you're right. I was being mean, and to someone who's only got 4 posts. For all I know, he is 12.

So yendor, I apologize. I hope I haven't soured you on participating in this community.

Michiko to Hatchin really is very good. But I think licensing in general is all screwy right now, traditional distribution is a mess and online distribution is untamed territory.

Still, you'd think it'd be a simple sell. It's perfect for the ever-growing female demographic, and it's got a unique South American flavor that I think would appeal well to the Spanish or Portuguese-language market. How it is that it's licensed in Italian and German but not Spanish or Portuguese is a mystery to me. Maybe it's just too expensive, but it's such an appealing show that I can't see it not being worth the investment.
