I'm not sure this is the right place for this. I saw all the back issues (1-10) in my LCS and was pretty interested. Flipped through the first issue and I really liked the art. So what's the general concensus on these books?

It's the best comic Smith has written since "Green Arrow: Quiver". It's great. I'm just sad that this story is not what the forthcoming Green Hornet movie is going to be. I still can't understand why the producers, the studio, whoever, passed on this version of the Green Hornet.

There are at least three threads for this already. Did Daredvil come out before or after Quiver? What about Spider-man Black Cat?

His run on Daredevil came out long before his Green Arrow run.
"Spider-Man/Black Cat: The Evil That Men Do..." started out great. The first 3 issues hooked me...but then issue #4 never came out. I don't recall how long it was before Smith returned to Marvel to finish the comic, but it was a long, long time. When issue #4 came out, the series completely went off the tracks. The plot got overcomplicated and too many guest appearances.
I don't know if issues 4-6 were what he originally intended (I could swear it was only going to be a 4 issue series) or if it was an mandate by editorial that he stretch out the story after such a long time between issues 3 and 4, but it felt to me like he "over thought" the second half of the story. That's my take.

It's good -- got a few "Smith tics" regarding the storytelling, but still enjoyable stuff.
I'd also recommend Green Hornet Year One, by Matt Wagner. Excellent stuff.

i've been intrigued lately by the green hornet, and i yet have to read an issue. i'm getting #1 to check it out. i heard people putting it down for whatever reason, but i've kept an open mind.
if it''s as good as it sounds and looks (by the ross covers, awesome) i may add it to my pull list.

I think they're walking into the pitfall where there's too many to choose from. They should have stuck with one title. Also, the familiar trap of using the Bruce Lee connection to do spin-offs with Kato. Before Lee became big, Kato was just Hornet's wingman.
