Since I usually only read Batman, and the relating characters, occasionally Superman and such, I dont really have a vast expansion on DC comics or know too much. Anyone know any good mystery titles (with occasional action, though action doesnt have to be the focus at all)? I also tend to like characters that bring positivity too, but not in the usual boring Superman way which is usually just beat up bad guys who are strong way. I tend to like some realism or variety of situations instead of overpowering and mindless fighting when it comes to that type of character.
So help a bro out.
Usually I would recommend Green Arrow but right now his series is a bit odd with a forest mysteriously appearing overnight in the middle of Star City.
If you like a lot of supervillians try Flash.

Flash, REBELS, Secret Six, or the current Lex Luthor arc of Action comics are all highly accessible even if they call on past history at times. I'm a relative newbie to DC (only started reading a year or so ago) and have enjoyed these series immensely.

I'd grab Secret Six trades - start with Unhinged - you might dig it.
Teen Titans from #88 has a new team, who I think are quite good.
Plus, Damian has just joined.
Superboy is pretty good for a first issue, if it sticks this way, well worth checking out.
THUNDER Agents just had a pretty good debut issue - lots of mystery there, and definitely going to be more than just beating the bad guy.

Nice nice, thanks for the recomendations guys. How does The Question fair up in all of this? And Aqauman (who seems kinda lame, but I'd like to give him a try)

The Rene Question was a back up in Batwoman's Detective series. Did you read that or are you looking at the old Vic Sage Question?
If you want to know if Aquaman is cool buy Brave & Bold #32. One of the best depictions of Aquaman in years!

I really think you should give Green Arrow a chance. It's very well written and beautifully drawn. It sounds like what you're looking for.

Neither have a series running at the moment, and there's about fifty different incarnations of each from the past.

The Flash just wrapped up its first arc and it was pretty good. I'd recommend that.

definitely grab the detective issues with batwoman and question backup, i really enjoyed both stories of that run. new batwoman series is starting in feb. zero issue came out last week which was cool.
and brave and the bold 32 is FANTASTIC! if you can get your hands on it check it out. after reading it, i wanted a JMS/jesus saiz aquaman ongoing. plus it has the demon
plus, if you want a good mystery story with unbelievable art, azrael #10-13 by david hine & guillem march. just awesome stuff.

The new Legion of Super-Heroes title is pretty accessible, yet also has a dense and diverse cast with a lot of world-building and great plotting. It's a great mix of Sci-Fi intrigue, action and character development. The current story is focusing on the Legion uncovering an assassination plot by shape-shifting Durlans (wiht several subplots bubbling under the surface).
Still pretty early in the run so you should be able to jump on board. Besides the Morrison Bat-Stuff it's easily my top DC read each month.

The Spirit has the feel of a '40's detective movie--think Maltese Falcon in a PG rated Sin City--with great art. AND the current issue (#8) is the start of a new arc.

Secret Six, or the current Lex Luthor arc of Action comics
Definitely these two. They're my favorite DC books at the moment. (Well, along with Morrison's Batman, which you said you are already into.) I also second the Doom Patrol and THUNDER Agents recommendations.

I also recommend The Flash. It's new reader friendly and is focusing on Barry Allen's role as a CSI. So there's definitely mystery there.
RE: Aquaman
A relaunch of Aquaman is hotly rumored due to what Geoff Johns and Ivan Reis are doing with him in Brightest Day. He and 2 other DC characters (Hawkman and Firestorm) are the top three candidates to get new ongoing monthly books once BD ends in May.
Someone else mentioned Green Arrow and I would recommend this also. I find it new reader friendly and pretty accessible since the entire supporting cast is brand-new. Plus, I really like the art.
Awesome!

 Liking the recommendations. I think Secret Six will be right up my ally. Along with Green Arrow, and quite possibly Flash. Superboy too (how old is he?) Lots of things going on here. Also, I was speaking of Vic Sage, to the poster earlier who asked, hes always intrigued me with his appearance.
Vertigo seems more serious and diverse which I'm also liking.

Vic sage is one of my favorite heroes as well so hopefully they'll bring him back.
