Poor Ms. Markham. She deserved better than taking a Faustian pact to become Donald Pierce's cyborg slave.

Still, one of the best almost gothic horror moments of the X-verse. Even if it involves cyborgs. You could swap out vampires for it and get the same effect.

I Love Cylla. Sometimes all you need is a frothing maniac with a cool look. Plus I love that she found Wolverine by shipping herself to him federal express.
It takes a real genius to come up with such a plot such as that. One of the many reasons to love this character.

She was also one of the original race changers. Didn't she start out as a black girl, but decided to go the Beyonce route and have all the girls in the group go to the tanner so she looked lighter toned, and dyed her hair blond in the process?

It's totally true, she was introduced in Uncanny X-Men #260. Pierce got her transformed in #261. Both by CC.

IDK, but I remember reading about it right around the time he gave him his adamantium back, he was planning on re-introducing them in those kinds of archetypes, and had Elsie being a rebellious teen, and Albert as her father figure.

Those people are all folks Wolverine is supposed to have killed, though. Bloodscream killed Cylla.

That would be good as long as she didn't get a redesign like Spiral did for that awful Sisterhood arc.

As for the faceplate, I thought the skull mask provided an interesting contrast to her otherwise pretty form. On the original Skullbuster it looked kind of generic, like he was just a Raiders fan or something, but on Cylla it worked.

I think you might have Elsie Dee confused with Mary Beck. Larsen created her in a Spider-Man/Wolverine three-part story in Marvel Comics Presents. He also created her father, referred to only as "Mr. Beck" - a clear reference to Captain Marvel.
