There are times when I go in to a comic shop with the intention of buying a bunch of back issues. I have my list of what I want, and I'm prepared to dig through their inventory to find it.
What drives me crazy is when they will have, say, their Batman books, and then a section behind the Batman books that is an unsorted hodgepodge of various Batman mini-series and one-shots. So if I'm looking for Batman: Orpheus #3, I've pretty much got to go through the whole stack to see if maybe they have it.
I realize that retailers may not always have time to do really detailed sorting, but my question is, is that system actually benefitting any customer? Are there a significant number of people who go in just wanting random Batman books and therefore don't require any sort of order to what they are looking through? Just curious.
