Basically, Mirage turns against Syndrome and helps the Incredibles escape and defeat him.

So, did she basicaly get a pass for being an asserory to the murder of all the other superheroes like Gazerbeam and Vectress?

One wouldn't think so. I think it was more like she disappeared into the shadows once she had finished helping the Incredibles, and instead of looking hard for her, they returned the favor.

After that though, she's fair game.

Considering that she was on the island I would think she's outside the US jurisdiction. The Incredibles are more firefighters/street cops than detectives or agents. Unless their paths cross again in the future they are not going after her.

hopefully if they greenlight a sequel, they'll use the character more or in a different way.

but seriously, i'd really like a sequel to this.

It's never really said how much she's involved. I'd take it she was in on most of it if not all of it.

She's a mystery anyway. I got the feeling that maybe she had some sort of superpower herself, but never showed anything more than something along the lines of a Bond girl who has ambiguous morals.

While it seemed like part of Syndrome's main mission was to kill/capture Mr. Incredible and in the process of preparing for Mr Incredible killed off other heroes, I have to think he used the same scam on them and played on their desires to relive the past. She did tell Mr. Incredible that he was facing something dangerous that'd adapt to his abilities, etc. It's not like he wasn't made aware of the possible dangers, although he did get ambushed the 2nd time.

What's more puzzling is how did Gazerbeam die and also manage to blast the mainframe password into the cavern? And why didn't Syndrome know well enough to use numbers or special characters or change his password regularly?

Great movie. It'd have to be in my top 5 movies. I hope they make a sequel.

Elastigirl/Mrs. Incredible seems to let her go after they work together again in the Boom comic.

Well, it is a superhero movie. Capes tend to think that way in comics, so sure, why the hell not. It's just murder after all, death is cheap.

In the Megamind movie the bad guy wins.

In theory, Gazerbeam's powers weren't revealed. Sounds like a Cyclops kinda guy, but for all we know, he learned the password via telepathy in some snippet he picked from Syndrome.

As far as how he died, but carved the password into the wall, he was badly wounded versus Syndrome's robot, say a gut wound, and as he was slowly bleeding to death, he scratched it in the wall.

I know, both possibilities are a reach, but had I to "no-prize" it for Pixar, that's how I'd go.
