As usual I'm a bit sick today so I'm sleepin in. This morning I awake and there is Maury Povich. Ahhh great ...great Maury. I know my previous Maury threads have been insane comedy. But todays episode takes a special prize in my heart.

Angela is a 21 or 22 yearold who claims that at one time while drinking she would sleep with over 100 men. So thus far in Maury fashion she has dragged man after man on on the show to test them. Someone...somewhere is the baby's daddy .

Man #6 is on and well.... let the tears and screams commence. He's not the FATHER !

Poor Angela . Will she have to keep testing men up to number #100 ? Or will her quest to find her baby's daddy end at some point ?

Therein may lie her problem. If she's just dragging on guys who she had sex with from when she was 16, that might be the issue.

You have to say this....Todd's acting is beautiful. I mean look at the pain... the grief as he sells his kidnapping. My god ..if you were a gullable girl who thought this man was the sun , you'd believe he was kidnapped !

And how bad does the girl have to feel as Maury breaks down laughing so damn hard.

Whats more pathetic is the girl seems to accept that and later is seen having another child . This is from 2004... I wonder if Todd has been kidnapped again ?

I actually thought he'd hung up his hat and gone on to simply hosting game shows and crap like that, but apparently his main sleazefest is still running--they simply moved from Chicago to Connecticut (weird... how do they get the crazy audiences they need in Connecticut?)

My guess, its cheaper to produce the episodes up there. And they get the audiences from NYC. They bus em up to the studio and back.

Not too long ago I saw a guy from high school on one of the "geek to chic" episodes with a girl who had gone on to become a model. I saw the guy again when I went back to my old town and he told me all about it. He said they basically colluded to get on the show and made up a story about how he used to bully her. He also said that backstage he was coached to antagonize both the girl and the audience and say she still looked ugly etc. It was the girl's idea to cook the whole thing up for her acting/modeling career and she went on to do "geek to chic" episodes on other daytime shows.

While it may not be completely staged with hired actors, it seems clear a lot of these stories are exaggerated by enterprising individuals who want their 15 minutes, as is the case with most reality shows nowadays.

Heh. Believe it or not, he's actually got three kids (the one with Connie Chung is adopted though, if I remember correctly).

That sounds pretty true. I think many believe getting on this show is a badge of honor and wanna love the 15 minutes. Like the girl Angelique I linked. She claims if she gets knocked up , back on Maury she will go .
