So, I mean...I realize that there was just a big ol' war and everything, but considering that Reed Richards was RIGHT THERE when it ended, and they sent Hope over to the Baxter Building for a check-up (because apparently none of their X-Club brainiacs could do it...), don't you think that maybe someone could have said "Hey Reed...so, remember that time Doom reincorporated Kitty Pryde? Did you keep those notes so you could help us out again?"

wow so even the Xmen didn't care to ask reed to help Kitty and beast just up and left without even offering to help her. I'm pretty sure she was left in the med bay on her own when the invasion happened.

I too, have wondered when they are getting her out of the bubble. I think she's gonna be on the list that Magneto recruits to his own anti-Cyclops squad. Kitty, Colossus, Wolverine, Namor, Hope, Angel, Rogue, (probably Gambit as well), Psylocke... and by the time this is all over, who knows who else. Pretty good lookin squad of heavy hitters. Actually...if Nightcrawler hadnt died, he probably would be there as well, and that would be my dream X-squad.

Okay, but be warned: Like so many of my ideas, I was drinking at the time.

If I remember correctly, Nightcrawler's funeral took place just mere hours after he died. In that same issue right before the service, we see Kitty smiling at Hope without any real sign of emotional duress that one might expect to see when a loved one dies. It's a bit odd considering the she and Kurt had been extremely close for years.

She's also being described as not being herself, which might suggest that she has difficulty communicating with (If I recall correctly, she is unable to speak in her current condition) or comprehending the outside world. So they figure that there is no point to inform her what happened and causing her any more duress in her current state.

We also see her in the fishbowl staring at a smiling Colossus as he shows off what looks like a DVD cover while Nightcrawler's body is still being gawked at by other team members? WTF?!! When the artist read the script, did it say something along the lines of: “In the medical bay, Colossus is with Kitty, smiling as he shows off his DVD collection?” Huh? He seemed a tad cheerful. Did Peter think that Kurt nailed Kitty when everyone thought he was dead, or something?

Of course this is all just speculation. Like I said, half-assed theory.

It's most likely just bad writing. The personal histories and interactions amongst such a large group of characters are bound to be overlooked when Fraction seems to be putting nearly all the focus on Scott and Emma.

And yes, I do realize that drinking while reading comics is probably not the best idea in the world, but it's like smoking weed while watching Eraserhead: Only then does anything you see make any sense. I'm just glad that this time I remembered to write down some notes before I sobered up.

I think if they caused her emotional pain by telling her kurt is dead or having Emma piss her off that that extreme emotion would allow her to focus enough to become solid. yes she's distressed from not being able to hug colossus, but she's also pretty frickin tired.
