Missed opportunities in a shared universe…

I love the DCU, I love the varied corners of the DCU… but I don’t love it when perfectly reasonable shared concepts don’t entirely meet/mesh-up. Some of my pet peeves:

J’onn J’onzz/Miss Martian
What is the story on these two? She’s been around since 52 (a year or two before he died).

How does J’onzz feel about a white Martian acting as hero on earth????

Furthermore what about the Martians from his mini…?


Captain Atom / Bombshell (and/or Major Force)
Umm Cap was pretty much anti-experimentation on soldiers, how does feel about bombshell voluntiring? Is there a relationship between the two…


Captain Atom/Magog/Shield/Crusaders
Various branches of the military have experimented on soldiers (airforce, army, marines)… I wonder how these three would get along (didn’t magog show up shield??? I don’t know, reading shield/magog in trade).

Some other ones:
Crusaders/Freedom Fighters
DMA / DEO
Checkmate / Global Guardians / THUNDER Agents

I know lots of times these individual characters are firmly rooted in various editor fiefdoms and/or currently engaged in a particular story… and like shiueld/magog/THUNDER are more than likely to spend the first year or so building their own identity prior to dealing with DCU history… but would love to see these story beats..

I've always wanted to see a story involving Ra's Al Ghul and Vandal Savage. They are both immortal so it would make sense for them to have encountered each other.

What's a story I think they missed out on?

Vulcan as a Titan. I mean the guy's legacy is to hunt down White Martians and the Titans have one on the team. That story writes itself.

Something that I know we won't get to see again is Lorena trying to make a play for Jaime. I actually thought that was an interesting thread, and found the double date scenario amusing.

How about Ravager being a sponsor for Aura and helping her kick her "binge drinking"? Or maybe they can help each other, plus it gives Rose someone with more of an edge that she can relate to.

The organization that Orpheus belonged to should hire Cassandra to be an H2H instructor for their operatives.

I got one! Have Batman travel to the 31st Century to team up with the Legion before he ends up in the present.

Oh! How about have one of the many Earth GLs actually patrol 2814 and visit other planets and races?

Exploring the Milestone Characters comes to mind....but at least DC have stayed committed to the green, pink, and blue characters. :tongue:

Well at least one of them is getting a shot. I'm guessing Static will actually be "Milestone Comics", so you'll have to get your fill of Icon, Hardware and the rest there.

I believe they met in Tomasi's run on The Outsiders. It was nothing special though
