I will be taking off ASM here once O.M.I.T. is over. I still want to keep up with Spider-Man outside of New Avengers. I know that Amazing is the main line, but is Web any good? And is Web and Amazing the only two lines?

WoS will be canceled as of...#11, I believe? I know it's a Doc Ock story.
If you're not reading Amazing after OMIT, check out Astonishing Spider-Man and Wolverine by Aaron/Kubert.
I would suggest hanging on to Amazing for the arc after "Origin of the Species." It's the culmination of everything since OMD and the end of the Brand New Day era. Might as well finish it, right?
Web is ending with #12 in September.
I think Astonishing Spider-Man/Wolverine is only a mini.
Spidey is also part of the main Avengers book.

Bah, I didn't realise Web was being cancelled. And yeah, Astonishing Spider-Man/Wolverine is a mini. I'm collecting it now.
I was dropping Amazing because of cost. My monthly pull is 63 bucks before you get into one-shots, minis and maxis. Keeping ASM will put me over 70.
But I guess I'll keep it until after then. I just wish they'd drop Amazing back to once a month.

Also, I get all the Avengers titles. So I'll have Spidey twice, without ASM. Just thought I'd pick up another book that isn't three a month.

In my opinion, I love the three-time monthly schedule, though I understand where you're coming from. I spend around $100 a month on comics. (I have a nice job). I hear that ASM is changing to twice a month soon.

You can always get whats essentially a year (36 issues) for $50. You won't get the issues the day of release though (which I wish marvel would give an explanation for it seems pathetic in this day and age)

At the mercy of the post office, I figure.

Web is kind of a weird book tonally. It started out as a Spider-Man Family-style anthology (but with a MUCH lower page count) where some of the stories tied into Amazing but everything (except for the ongoing Spider-Girl stuff) was still relatively self-contained from issue to issue. Then they dropped Spider-Girl. Now they’re mixing in multi-part stories with the short stories like Marvel Comics Presents used to.

Speak of dollar amounts, I figure I spend 100-120 a month. That's not including when I hit up Amazon for some trades, though. Planning a big spike soon, though, since I want to get Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World Vol. 2-6, DMZ Vol. 8: Hearts and Minds, Rucka's Queen & Country, Vol. 1, some more The Goon...
Ugh. I need a second job.
If it's because of cost, rumor is they may be dropping the thrice-monthly schedule after #647.

I think Wacker denied that in another thread.

If you can, could you post that thread here?

I'm not sure which one. I'll look for it in the morning.

I hear some people don't get an issue until a good 2 weeks after its released and at times it takes longer.

I wish it hadn't taken the movie release for me to get curious about the series. Good stuff.

It's especially hilarious for people like me who live in the city. I get a big kick out of all the specific Toronto references (and there are a ton).

Doesn't that go for the "Peter Parker" title?
Peter Parker was meant to be a mini series. It ends with issue 5.

Web of Spider-Man is geting canceled by issue 12 all right.
Still well worth to read in terms of sheer originality stories from the Spidey verse.
There is just plain funny stories, stories focusing in the villains of Spider-Man and stories focusing in several characters from the Spider-Man stories as Ben Reilly or Jackpot.
And over all FVL stories have been cool, and the title even had stories writen by J.M.DeMatteis as well!

My trade-waiting seems to be a financially-sound decision. Once I'm completely caught up, I'll average $25 a month.

Hah! I got my pull down from 120 (my normal pull, plus one-shots, minis and maxis) to 85. Feeling much better now. Hopefully once all these Avengers tie-in minis and such end, I'll be even better.
