I mean this idea is sort of well over due, Given Donna's history within the DCU.

However, as Fans of her, what do you all think of the idea ?

I'd buy a Donna Troy ongoing. All 12 issues of it.

I'd read that, so long as it was good.

Yes. There should be a revived Sensation Comics starring anyone from the WW Family.

I'd prefer a maxi series really and if that does good then why not have an ongoing ride the wave and create a real WW line

I still think a Donna Troy/Power Girl teamup book is the best idea for either, except that there are so many female team books now. (Then again, I'd usually consider two people a partnership and not a team.)

A DT/PG book would combine two classic mythos and two characters who need defining and can handle spearheading a new spin on their respective mythos. So far imho the PG book is not doing that great for the character, despite the fabulous art she's enjoyed up to the current ish. And Donna Troy solo stories are usually too busy trying to straighten out her luggage to deliver a strong, character-driven story.

Donna's a heckuva lot more interesting than Terra.

Yes, Carol..a team-up book with Donna would b a possibility. If even Dianas bHook is struggling with sales then poor Donns would stand no chance. However, Power Girl? Hmmm..maybe Starfire from their Titan days or a guest app from Artemis. If its an ongoing it could feature crossovers with WWs comic. In the recent Titans Donna relocated to Miami to continue her photographic career so she has a all-new base of operations.

She actually moved again in JLA to San Francisco and is a roomie with Jade...

 I laughed. Hard.

I'm a huge fan of Donna. I would DEFINITELY buy an ongoing of hers... but it would be doomed to failure until writers actually learn how to... well. Write her. Remember that Donna solo Titans issue? Shudder.

Now, if her and jade got her own series down the line? I'd be all over that. Cute combination of personalities bouncing off one another. It'd have a better chance of lasting, too, especially if it got a hot artist.

It wouldn't sell. Wonder Woman herself puts in middling sales, so I can't see Donna being a big draw.

Now a mini? I'd buy that. And Donna's getting some love in JLA, so there's that.

BTW, Terra pwns Donna.

OH YES __JADE!! Forgot about her, she is fine. Donna has any number of female heroes 2 team up with...new Batgirl, Huntress, for some odd reason i could see her sharing an apartment with Mary Marvel or Zatanna. In "countdown" she got on well with Ray Palmer and Jason Todd as the new [short-lived,thankfully] Challs so Donna can safely be said to be the most relatable of heroes....she can get on with everybody.

Only if she got a proper super-hero name. "Donna Troy" just doesn't cut it for me. She should be Troia or Wonder Woman or something else. Donna Troy is her civilian name.

Her and Jade getting their own series would be adorable. And they'd live in the same state as the Teen Titans and Starman and Zatanna! Adorable cameos abound.

It's so damn easy to think of a name for her. Olympia. Titania (yes, tit jokes are bound to happen). Victory (except then she'd be expected to have more victories than she does). Donna's ties to Coeus as him being her literal father figure AND husband figure could easily give her the name of his daughters:
Leto or Asteria. The latter really fits her, with its star theme. Atlas fits. She could even take up Phoebe in honor of the Goddess she looked so much like. Seriously, it's easy.

And instead of making a big deal of her new name, it could just be a joke. Jade makes fun of her for having no name. Donna pretends not to care and is like, "I'm not insecure about my identity anymore. I'm just Donna Troy."

"Booooring," Jade shoots back.

Donna gets angry and starts throwing some out. Jade shoots down everything she says. Then finally says "Ooh, I like it!" to one of them, and Donna goes with it.

END. Resolved. No dramatic "THE NEW ME!!" story. Just a casual conversation that metatextually pokes fun at Donna.

Starman could be their "whacky neighbor" character who tries to sell them crap from his antiques store.

You know, I'd actually love that :( The book could be a parody of a sitcom. With a hero twist.

Yes it could be quite light-hearted, couldnt it. Like a super-hero sitcom, with the emphasis firmly on Donna and the rest as supporting cast, dropping inand out as the story demands. Ive always felt Donna has a young Mary Tyler Moore vibe about her, very sweet and homely and often "falling" into superhero situations whilst trying to have a semblance of a normal life.

It didn't yet. After the crossover is over, she's supposed to have an issue dedicated to her new "status quo".

Hmm...a miniseries titled "I'm Donna Troy, B@#$!*"

Anyway, I suppose it depends on how her redefinition by James Robinson turns out. If well, than maybe, but currently? Er, which Donna would star in said series?

Oh. Goodie. They did that Titans issue so well.

Doesn't Donna have to put down security deposits every time she moves? Does the JLA pay that well? Doesn't she know that her time there won't last long?

It'd be lovely to see her on People's Court for breaking a lease improperly. Or worse (for her), Judge Judy!

I would love to see a Maxi-Series. Maybe something involving the return of the Titans?

JLA members get payed and get some benefits, but I don't know if they're actually paying for her house.

She moves around and or dies so much that I'm sure even if they did pay her housing costs, they'd eventually say "Screw it".

But I liked the Miami idea. No other cape is in Miami. San Fran may be a wonderful city, but it's got a lot of capes already.

And why is it that so many female capes have roomies, but male capes don't? Is it because female capes are underpaid and thus can't afford full rent?

Carol i think that we accept female roommates because they can b "great friends looking out 4 each other against the world[read "men"] but male roommates? It has overtones of being gay [look at Bruce and Dick and the jokes] its sad i know but thats how some see it. Wish it wasnt. [sigh] DONNA TROY RULES!!!!!!!

That review just cracked my sh*t up. God, that issue was absolutely the WORST.

I only disagreed with one part:

For the record: I like the idea of Donna in Miami. There are no other capes to my knowledge there, and it's an interesting enough location. But just a few months later, DC announced that in a future issue of JLA, Donna will move to San Francisco, there to be Jade's roomie. (Of course you all recall that Jade was Kyle Rayner's gf before Donna was, and also after Donna. Why do I so doubt that two sensible women would welcome this arrangement?)

Jade seems to be more reluctant and awkward about being around Donna, and even was when Donna tried to have coffee with her in Green Lantern. But Donna's always tried to reach out to Jade, even when she still had feelings for Kyle. I've known plenty of women who try to make peace with another ex-girlfriend of an ex-boyfriend, rather than go the jealous route, and Donna is definitely that type of girl. Jade, on the other hand, might not be for a while. But considering Donna has also been dead like she has, and can help get her photography career restarted, it's a smart move on Jade's part to let Donna give her a helping hand in getting back on her feet. It's a very sensible move.

As long as Kyle's in space and they avoid the subject of him on a serious manner, I don't see a reason for any real tension. Even when Donna wasn't fully over Kyle and still had feelings for him, she was smart and kept her distance when he'd try to approach her for a relationship again. She doesn't rush into things. Jade, on the other hand, would be more willing to get back with him, but since it seems like he wants to choose Natu, Donna might help Jade recover from her ~heartbreak~.

Donna in Miami wouldn't work unless she had her own series and that series could do well. Her moving to Miami was pathetic because it seemed to be more for Tom (what with her "texting/calling" him at the end) than herself. And it seemed impulsive.

San Fransisco is a much better move for a photographer, and I bet she'd want to be somewhere close by Cassie, anyway. There's no reason for her to get away from the Titans needing her so much and taking time away from them in Miami, anyway, since the Titans are now dismantled, collapsed, and half dead or insane.

You also mentioned many female heroines have "duo" books, and have roommates. I can't think of many books that are about two female heroes, and I can't think of many heroines that room with each other, either.

Put Conner on a 12 Issue Maxi Series, stat. Donna has always been my favorite part of the Wonder Woman Mythos, and anything good would be an instant buy for me.

And whoever had the idea of a Donna Troy/Power Girl Teamup book, is a genius. Put Conner on this too, since Gail will be too busy writing BoP and Secret Six. Heck, this would also be a great way to re-introduce McDuffie into the DCU, so he's also another option.

I would very much like to see Conner's take on Troy. Not sure if I've ever seen her draw Donna before.
