What characters or titles would you like to see in the Noir line?

One I'd think would be interesting would be Captain America. How would that work?

I wouldn't mind seeing Black Widow Noir set during WWII in the days following Russia's heel-face turn. Maybe Dominic Fortune, Nick Fury, Hawkeye & Mockingbird or any other spy/mercenary character. I think Blade would have the potential to work, and possibly Elektra.

Doctor Strange could definitely work if he was used in historical situations in place of Aleister Crowley. I'd read it. "Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law of the hoary hosts of Hoggoth!"

I'd say Namor, but Sub-Mariner: The Depths covered the time period very, very well.

Machine Man Noir

Aaron Stack grew up in the 1920s, the son of a mechanic-turned-bootlegger during Prohibition. He had a very sheltered childhood because of his father's wariness after losing Aaron's mother to a smooth-talking grifter. The boy spent most of his time learning to fix things, to the point that he seemed to understand contraptions better than he did people.

To pay the bills and help some of the locals make a living, Aaron's father began bootlegging, sneaking liquor into Chicago to supply the Speakeasies that resided in the city's shadows and back-alleys. Aaron was never allowed to tag along, of course, and could only stay behind and wonder and dream about the 'big city'.

Later, Aaron's father is killed by ATF agent, Nicholas Fury. Aaron continues his father's work, for the sake of the people whose livelihoods depended on bootlegging. His forays into Chicago help him begin to learn about people, the good and the bad. From a lounge singer from a local Speakeasy named Monica Rambeau that he falls for, to "The Captain", a hard-nosed, no-nonsense hitman that works for the local crime syndicate that doesn't think favorably of Aaron's 'legitimate' bootlegging.

Aaron earns the nickname "Machine Man" because of the "stock-cars" that he built to outrun law enforcement. His are the fastest around. He also wore a coat that had numerous pockets, both in plain sight and hidden, and he had a tendency to fill them up with things he found during his runs. On one occasion, he used a fork from a diner to end a brawl he got into with a rival bootlegger.

Caught between the ATF's Nicholas Fury and organized crime's Captain, Aaron Stack tries to make a living running moonshine and finally come to understand the human condition.

This is an idea I had from an earlier create-a-comic thread. I'd still love to see it done.

Hmm...set it in the 40s with flashback sequences to the Victorian era? DIG IT.

Honestly? None. I think Marvel should abandon its Noir line post haste.

Definitely Strange Noir with magicians/illusionists/escape artist/occultists and magic in general from just before that era being mainstream buzz, creating celebrities, stars, legends and scandals. May have to push the story back to the teens

Madrox Noir since PAD did such an excellent job with Jamie's mini and the character's love for the genre

Moonknight Noir would be a fairly simple transition, though I fear it would only make for a bad Batman replicant

Black Widow Noir could work with some Lenin/Stalin espionage action. Marvel & Bolsheviks?

Galactus Noir! Think Orson Welles' War of the Worlds with a giant purple helmet

Iron Fist Noir. Just bring back Orson Randall already.

Has there been a Fantastic Four: Noir yet? The Fantastic Four can be a criminal family of some sort I suppose.

I'd make them circus freaks. Reed is a "rubber man" with incredibly limber and flexible joints. Torch is a fire eater. Thing has a skin condition that makes his skin look like rock.
Two ways to go with Invisible Woman: Sue could be the fat lady and be called the Visible Woman "She's visible from anywhere!" or go really meta and make Sue black and riff of Ralph Ellison.

Luke Cage has already been done. I'd like to see a follow up. That was a really fun read. From the ones I've read, Spidey Noir has been the best.

I'd love to read a Voodoo Noir! Think of it like Angel Heart!
