Has any information been disseminated regarding what characters will comprise the new X-Force?

Also, does anyone have any suggestions as to what a Remender-newbie should read to get a better grip on how he will be writing Wolverine et al.? It'll help me decide whether I'll start pulling it or not. Thanks!

You should read his Punisher run which has recently turned in to Franken-Castle.

Has he done anything with Wolverine (or to a lesser extent, X23, since she is an iteration of the original) that would get me a better idea of how he will deal with this rag-tag group of mutants?

I liked his Punisher run but am not a huge fan of Franken-Castle.......

Remender is currently writing The Last Days of American Crime. It's quite good and the art br Greg Tocchini is just superb.

Excellent question! And welcome to CBR's X-Books forum.

I'm eager to hear the answer to this inquiry, too!

I don't think Remender is using X-23 in New X-Force.

I don't think Remender is using X-23 in New X-Force.

He most certainly is not. She is going off on her own soon in her solo series, and only two of the New X-Force members will have anything to do with previous X-Force incarnations.

The new X-Force team has been revealed:

(From left to right)
Marrow, Cecilia Reyes, Wolverine, Maggott.
Sabra is the flying one.

The roster hasn't been revealed yet, but there are several guesses in this thread: http://forums.comicbookresources.com/showthread.php?t=318176

My guess is still Fantomex, Psylocke, Magneto, Deadpool and Wolvie.

I'm thinking Wolverine, Angel, Deadpool (groan), Fantomex and Psylocke. A few people think it might be Elektra rather than Psylocke because Elektra is going to turn up in the X Books eventually because of the 'We are X Men' teasers. Marvel also mentioned something about Angel hiring Elektra for some reason. I just don't see her joining a team full time, even with her old fuck buddy Logan.

I think it's Elektra, along with Deadpool, Fantomex, Archangel and Wolverine.

hello, I'm_Obliged.

I certainly hope that the New X Force is more substantial and satisfying than the current superficial run. A change in the creative team is just what this title needs!

"Coming out of Messiah Complex, the team was X-23, Wolverine, Warpath, and Wolfsbane," Yost said of the X-Force's composition and acknowledging there were criticisms of the blade-focused debut group. "We knew we wanted Archangel, and we needed a van, something to carry them around. So we got Vanisher." He noted that the team continues to evolve, with Kyle adding that Domino was added to lighten the mood. "We didn't want this to just be the most violent, depressing book you've ever read--we also want you to laugh," he said. Kyle concluded, "Deadpool is coming. He's on his way."

That was in August 2009. My guess is they couldn't get him for the first run because Marvel concluded he had too many of his own solo-titles, but they managed to get him for X-Force this time around.

I suspect that X-Man is member #4.
