Boy, I sure hope that means that J.H. Williams III will be the one drawing Batman and Robin # 16. He's certainly "known for working with Grant's run" and someone we all know, thanks to Detective Comics.

And he's got some major lead-in time before the Batwoman series comes, so doing one issue with Grant seems feasible (and like something that we fans will all nerdgasm over).

Here's hoping.

David will play a big part in the future of our books. The mix of artists there has me amazed.

Awesome I loved Finch's pages in 700.

And heres to hoping it ends up being JHW3 for B&R 16.

I'm thinking the same thing--that would be AWESOME.

Doubt it. He has work on Batwoman to do.

Finally, confirmation that Damian is the one mentoring Terry in the Batman Beyond sequence. If JH Williams III pencils Batman & Robin #16, that would be awesome. Also, I hope Frank Quietly's back injury (or whatever he's got) gets better so he can pencil interiors again regularly.

Yeah, as soon as I flipped the page in 700 seeing that he couldn't complete his section, I lost all hope of him doing a full issue.

Batman and Robin #16? Someone we are familiar with? Lets rank the possible candidates!

Quitely > Williams III > Kubert > Stewart > other people

Tony Daniel could be issue 16's penciler. Not my first choice, but a possibility to be sure.

Nah, it's tots Quitely. They wouldn't have had him on #700 if not (probably explains why he didn't finish, actually).

I'd be fine with Frank Quitely or J.H. Williams to be penciling #16, to be honest.

So you're saying he didn't finish his work on Batman seven-freaking-hundred, so he could do a random issue of B&R? Don't buy it.

Yeah, Quitely isn't finishing a full issue, at all. The fact that he couldn't finish his work on 700 is reason enough to show that he can't even complete what, 10 pages? not that he's too busy he needs help... no. What ever happened to his back, is obviously still affecting him.

I think that is the reason as well, debilitating back injuries don't just disappear over night, even with surgeries it can take months/years to recover and rehabilitate after surgery, and some injuries are never fully recovered from.

It is one of the worst things I can imagine happening to a comic penciler to not be able to sit and draw, close to as bad as Joe Shuster losing his eyesight at a young age.

I think it will be Quitely if he can finish the issue, or Tony Daniel if Quitely can't.

But I hope it's Dave McKeen.

Here's hoping for Andy Kubert

I wouldn't mind that at all.

Williams or Kubert are probably the best guesses for B+R 16, and I'm leaning a little more towards it being Kubert, though I'd rather have Williams.

mofo

I don't think it's Kubert. I remember reading an interview (over at IGN I believe) where Adam says he was tapped to draw and issue of ROBW but he declined since he didn't have the time (busy teaching classes at his father's school) so he stuck to doing covers. His work on issue 700 only required him to draw 6 or 7 pages so he could complete that... But a full issue? Don't think so

So it's probably JHW =D
Trust me. Female intuition

It's probably Kubert. He's had months of time to do it, so I think it should be done by then. I really wanted it to be Quitely though. I don't want it to be Daniel, I've outgrown his art.

SpideyZERO

JHW is unlikely though. Probably too busy with writing and drawing Batwoman.

What about Cameron Stewart? He did handed over one issue of ROBW to another artist for some unknown project with Morrison.
