Question.

By "animated" we are including comic characters such as Calvin, above, who were never apart of any official animated franchise?

Actual animated series, movies, shorts, but not parodies. I just haven't changed my avatar yet.

Second question: would Itchy and Scratchy be considered a parody of Tom and Jerry?

If eligible, dibs.

I was thinking more like Robot Chicken parodies, but in this case it can be used.

It always fun to do a theme week. This week, in honor of a. non's choice of subject matter, I bring you Eric Cartman is an Evil Little Prick Week.

First up, we see Cartman at his most deliciously evil. After older boy Scott Tenorman makes him the subject of a series of embarrassing pranks, Cartman turns the tables by tricking him into eating chili made from the corpses of his dead parents and even gets Scott's favorite band, Radiohead, to show up to mock him mercilessly. Here we see Cartman licking the tears from Tenorman's face as he relishes what he describes as the flavor of "unfathomable sadness".

Eric Cartman is an Evil Little Prick Week continues with Up the Down Steroid, in which Cartman poses as a mentally disable child in an attempt to win the Special Olympics, only to learn that the mentally and physically disable are, for the most part, more athletically capable than him.

I've got a "new to this thread" question:

My avatar features a character from an animated show but the artwork I'm using is not from the show itself. Does that matter?

I'm in with the controversial and must see Coal Black and de Sebben Dwarfs from Warner Brothers. Due to its racial nature, this classic of the infamous Censored 11 from WB is hidden from the public.

But on YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JGPfvGkSO1w) you can watch it.

I'm going with the Prince Chawmin' character of the short.

Day 3 of Eric Cartman is an Evil Little Prick Week brings us Awesom-O, the episode in which Eric posed as a robot from Japan in an elaborate prank on poor Butters Stotch that backfired with intensely embarrassing consequences.

Eric Cartman is still an evil little prick and the week that celebrates this continues with Christian Rock Hard, the episode in which Cartman forms his own Christian rock band in order to manipulate the faithful into making him rich and famous, crooning ballads that are basically just secular love songs with the name Jesus inserted at the (in)appropriate moments.

Poor Butters, constant target of Cartman's evil schemes.

Here we see Cartman enjoying a meal at Casa Bonita's in celebration of Kyle's birthday.

In order to get invited, he convinced Butters that a meteor had smashed into the earth, wiping out civilization as we know it.

Fun fact: Floyd Norman (Disney's first black animator) told me that Coal Black was hugely popular with African-Americans; when he took Bob Clampett to an event attended by a primarily black membership, they hailed Clampett as a hero.

Well, it is my experience that for the most part, the subjects of racism have a greater sense of humor about themselves than the sufferers of racial guilt will ever know or acknowledge. Also, not everyone's stupid and many are perfectly capable of taking something, insensitive and offensive though it may seem on the surface, in the spirit in which it was given.

Eric Cartman is defined by his hatred and a large chunk of that hatred is reserved exclusively for "Gingers".

According to Cartman, Gingers, "are disgusting, inhuman, inherently dumb, have no souls, are very short, and are unable to survive in sunlight."

When his friends bleach his skin and dye his hair in the night to teach him an important lesson, he naturally misses the point and starts an apocalyptic Ginger cult that ultimately turns on him.

Oh, that Cartman!
