Hey all I don't watch fringe (or tv in general) but I noticed over on Newsarama they posted some "alternate DC covers" from the parallel earth that Fringe takes place in
+ a copy of JLI #1 with Jonah Hex in place of Guy Gardner
+a copy of Green Lantern/Green Arrow...but now it's Red Lantern/Red Arrow (and no Hal dosen't use the Red's oath, and Red Arrow is still Ollie)
+ Crisis on Inifinte Earth's 7, but super girl and superman's places are reversed
+Superman: the man of steel returns: a riff on Batman: the dark night returns, with the iconic image of the charcater leaping in midair with a lightning bolt in the background
+ a red, slashed up red batman symbol.....I have no idea, was hoping somsone might fill me in on that one

It's a reference to the armband that came with Superman 75, the death of Superman. It was a black armband with a bleeding Superman symbol.
(If you read the more recent appearances of Superboy-Prime, his Superman shirt bled in the wash to resemble that symbol as well.)

I thought that those were SO cool! Brilliant!
And you could tell by the way that Peter looked at them that he realized they were "wrong," thus indicating his knowledge of the originals.
Very neat little detail, and I'm glad that the show and DC could make something like this happen.

i always love it when comic books creep into tv shows and movies. i always thought a website detailing these things would be fun...like Thor in Adventures in Babysitting or Xander reading the Avengers on Buffy.

I took the best-looking covers and put them alongside of "our" Earth's covers for fun:
The Raging Fanboy - Comics on Infinite Earths (http://theragingfanboy.wordpress.com/2010/05/22/comics-on-infinite-earths/)

I think these are pretty cool, I would love a poster of the Red Lantern/Red Arrow one.
