What song is the saddest thing Hollis Mason could think of, and why is it the saddest thing he could think of? Be as specific as you can in your answer.

God, I hope I remembered this right.

"Die Valkyrie". It was playing as his father's boss (Tony?) stood with tears streaming down his face as he announced to the garage that Fred the mechanic had had carnal knowledge of his wife for some time and she had run off with him. Everyone laughed, because the boss was wearing a pair of fake breasts (he liked physical practical gags) at the time. Then he went into his office and later that night asphyxiated himself on carbon monoxide with a tube run into the interior of a car from the exhaust pipe.

Hey, if it's a new round, shouldn't we take everyone's points back to zero? Dammit, I'm NEVER gonna catch up.

In 1981's Superman and Spider-Man, why is the Hulk on a rampage, and how does Superman stop him?

34, Schmakt has it wrong - he was holding the bomb as it exploded but was teleported to Jarella's world at the precise instant of explosion; a statue of Hulk was teleported back in his place (some kind of mass for mass rule), and the ashes of the statue were collected as the Hulk's ashes.

PLEASE READ THESE RULES BEFORE POSTING
Each player may only answer ONE regular question plus any number of
bonus questions per set per update. If two people post a reply to a question in the exact same minute, they'll both get points for it. Please note that the time a post is edited counts as the time the answer was posted. And I screw up sometimes, so just tell me if I didn't award you points when I should have or otherwise messed up, and I'll fix it.

Paradox and TheHistorian:

Well, I thought of a possible solution: I can cut each set down to three to five questions per set and change the rules so that players can answer as many questions as they want - but instead of posting answers on the thread, players PM me their answers. And when I update, I reveal the answers and everyone gets points for correct responses.

We could try it that way, if a majority of people agree. So what does everybody think of that format? :)

I am not too worried about missing them either.

I reserve the right to bitch and moan, but don't take it too seriously, Boba.

The only other option i can think of is to use the 'Brian Cronin' method - where you'd list 10 questions. People would answers as many as they can - and are on the honour system to not look at other people's replies. I think you need a new thread for every new round for that kind of system, though.

Dizzy D
12-16-2004, 03:13 PM
If you want to use that system, I would say that you put your answers in spoil-tags. ( <spoil></spoil> but with [ and ] instead of < and > for those who haven't used them yet) There still is on honour system working, but you can't be influenced by other answers you accidently see when you open the page.

The PM-method. I think it would be a lot of work. Too much really. I also miss a lot of opportunities in this game due to my timezone, but I don't think there is anything wrong with the current system.

thetechnocrat
12-16-2004, 04:16 PM
I'm in agreement with everyone else. I don't get upset if I miss the questions I know the answer to. I probably would be too lazy to pm the answers.

OT: A good question for the future would be:
What borough did Steve Rogers' family live in?

Rich L

Definately. With the huge comic following on the net, they would do well with an online voting system as well. Even people who didn't read Batman (or maybe even comics for that matter) would voice their opinion.

Add to that the 800 number and I think there would be at least 100,000 more individual votes.

... and in the movie, when Matt and Foggy are sitting in the Diner, with Foggy insisting and Matt denying that there are alligators in the sewers of New York, I wish they'd of tipped their hat a bit to the TMNT origin link and had Matt finally relent and say:

"I don't know about alligators Foggy, but their are turtles down there."

<pause>

Just something minor, without interfering with the direction of story or anything.
