30's - The "pulp" era. I love Doc Savage, The Shadow & Tarzan from that era.
40's - For me DC dominated this decade. I love the raw energy of the early Golden Age stuff. I enjoyed ALL their superhero stuff. Marvel only had Namor (really like Everett's work), Torch & Cap. Fawcett had The Marvel Family & Quality had Plastic Man (Jack Cole was a genius) & The Blackhawks.
50's - I liked the later stuff with the westerns & science fiction from DC. I wasn't crazy about Marvel's monster themed books.
60's - loved it all. DC's updates of The Flash, GL, Hawkman, The Atom & the JLA. Marvel exploded with so many great heroes & ideas. I liked Charlton's Action Hero line by Steve Ditko. I also loved a lot of the war comics from that decade. Gil Kane was awesome with work on GL & Atom.
70's - IMO this decade was the Marvel Age more than the 60's. Marvel started experimenting with the weirder stuff like Ghost Rider & Dracula. DC had the Bob Haney/Jim Aparo Brave & Bold. Joe Kubert became one of my favorite artists with his work on Tarzan & Sgt Rock.
80's - this decade was all over the place for me. I loved both DC & Marvel from this time but First Comics really grabbed my attention with Nexus, American Flagg!, Grimjack, etc.
90's - loved early Valiant stuff. Some of the Malibu Ultraverse stuff was good but the quality fell off rapidly. DC & Marvel only had a few bright spots like The Flash & Capt America that I liked.
