When did Superman start saying "truth, justice and the AMERICAN way."
This phase was brought up in the TV Film board.

It began with the opening narration of the 1940s radio series but it was the subsequent TV series, using the same intro, that imprinted it in the consciousnesses of at least two generations of American kids.
