Mike Carey and Steve McNiven would make an awesome combo on X-Men! I'd totally read that. I like nearly all of your picks, and I'm intrigued with your pick for X-Force: I like Jonathon Hickman, and would love to see how he handles X-Force.

I really liked what he did with the F4 and Secret Warriors. I'd love to see what he'd do with the X-verse.

I'm really liking what Carey is doing with the Legacy book, but would rather like to see him write an actual team again, but that's a minor quibble. So I would leave him on the title. I'd also leave Clay Mann on the title also.
I would give Uncanny to Paul Cornell and Olivier Coipel alternating with Steve McNiven.

NICE!!! You listed some great combos!
I already got my wish: Grant Morrison, Frank Quitely and co. Warren Ellis with Simone Bianchi and Phil Jimenez. and Kieron Gillen and Steven Sanders for SWORD.
Twobit, have you read Mark Waid and Barry Kitson on Legion of Superheroes?
It was okay, but not really my cup of tea. However, Waid wrote one of the best F4 runs in my opinion.
Alan Moore is not going to ever happen, too much bitterness from DC, Marvel and Rob Liefeld. He releases a few books under Avatar Press, though.

Mark Waid + Howard Porter on Uncanny X-Men.
And there would be one X-book only, not X-Force, or X-Factor or Legacy, etc....
I liked their FF work so much, especially on the "Authoritative Action" storyline. I never liked the Fantastic Four but Waid made me interested in them. Since I think the X-Men are an absolute lost cause, I think Waid and Porter would make it fresh again.

Writers are a bit more inconsistent so I no longer really desire particular penners to come and save the day (although Marjorie Liu...<3 <3 <3).
I most want to see Olivier Coipel on an X-Title, though.

I read the post with out know the person's name, but when I double checked the poster it suddenly clicked why his team ups could be legendary!
Sadly Alan Moore will never sign back up with Marvel, DC, or Image, too much animosity and explosive personalities. Ellis on X-Man sounds groovy, but then again all of those hold so much potential.
Although the Johnathon Hickman on art and writing for X-Force would bring up a lot of problems with deadlines and art. Hickman excels better at iconic art and graphic design. The Nightly News was Hickman testing the waters for that kind of comic.

A while ago, there was some talk about Mark Millar to write X-Men and kind of rebooting it. This could work both ways, but I am intrigued and would like to see what he'd make of it.
Other than that, I'd like to see Bendis, Neil Gaiman, BKV or Joss Whedon taking writing duties on any X-title. (And Alan Moore just for the hell of it)
PAD has been on X-Factor for a while, but I'd like to see him writing a core book now.
As for an artist, I just want to see Jim Lee drawing the X-Men just once more.

If so, he SHOULD draw X-Men if Jim Lee's unavailable.
