From time to time? I know there was Azzarello's Joker from last year, and I think Rucka did a WW one a few years ago.

Does anyone know of any more recent graphic novels DC has done?

there's a Vietnam (OGN hardcover) one by Joe Kubert coming out in a month or so

Jonah Hex: No Way Back is coming out soon, too; it's a 136 page OGN by Palmiotti/Gray with art by Tony DeZuniga.

I had heard Amanda Conner and Paul Dini were supposed to do an OGN about Black Canary and Zatanna.

During her first PG interview, I think Conner said she dropped out of the project. That blows, as she probably would've rocked.

And thanks for the Jonah Hex info. sounds neat.

There was a time when they were doing 3 or 4 a year. You could pretty well guarantee 2 Batman ones, and at least one other. JLA had a few. Wonder Woman. Green Lantern. Flash. Superman. Those were the days.

Yeah, but on the other hand, Vertigo are pumping those things out like crazy these days.

They're a series of OGN. Johns and Frank are finishing up the first Batman OGN and then they have a second volume. JMS and Shane Davis are both up for a second OGN for Superman.

Amazon says November (http://bit.ly/aXhoKO) for Superman: Earth-One. I'm not sure about Batman.
