Avengers Headquarters?

So, with the multitude of announcements over recent weeks the question remains...where will the teams be based? Will Avengers Mansion be rebuilt? Will any of the team reside in whatever serves as their headquarters? Will the various teams share a facility? Will the New Avengers continue to operate without a formal base? And where will the Avengers Academy be located?

What do you think? What would you prefer?

I'm suspecting:

Avengers Mansion will probably be rebuilt, but I'm not sure if it'll be the main HQ for all the teams or if it might just end up being the "Avengers Academy."

Secret Avengers will probably use SHIELD's old covert headquarters or something.

I wouldn't mind multiple HQs just to avoid the "X-Men Effect" where the team rosters get so nebulous as to be incoherent.

Well, looking at our options... we've got an unrepaired Avengers Mansion, an presumably empty Stark Tower after Siege, Pyms Infinity Manion, and an old SHIELD base the NA are using.

I'll assume the Avengers will get the Mansion back, complete with Jarvis. It'll give that old school feel to it.

Infinity Mansion is cool, but I actually see that getting blown up or somehow destroyed after MA. I just see the ability to go anywhere as too much of an edge for the heroes.

I guess that leaves the Avengers Tower and the SHIELD base. SHIELD base is sort of generic, so I'll assume the NA end up in the Tower.

I don't see why at least one of them wouldn't use the infinite mansion. The Academy seems best here: lots of space, minimal property damage and quick ways home if the kids want to visit home.

Camp Hammond for the Avengers Academy team.

Stark Tower for the New Avengers team.

SHIELD's helicarrier for the Secret Avengers team.

I worry the Infinity mansion will get destroyed by Ultron.

Have to admit it sure would be useful for spy avengers team.

It could sort of be like X-Men Blue and Gold back in the day.

I want Avengers Island/Hydrobase(I think its been rebuilt).

Room enough for all the teams.

Far enough away from New York to not endanger innocents when it get attacked.

They get to have a ground crew again(they are halfway there already if you count Cho, Jocasta and Maria Hill).

After what happened to the Avengers, and what's happening to the X-Men now, I'm thinking Islands might not be a good idea.

That would be the appeal of the Infnity Mansion plus it is self cleaning.

I'm guessing the Avengers will return to the mansion. It fits the theme of the real Avengers returning. Got to return to their usual headquarters. I expect something to happen to Avengers Tower. Maybe not something drastic like its destruction, but it's been used by Osborn for months and has the Sentry's tech all incorporated with it. Probably needs to be cleaned out and repurposed.

Since I still expect the Secret Avengers to be based around Steve Rogers as the Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. or some equivalent, I see them based out of a helicarrier. That'd be pretty damn cool.

The New Avengers will probably in some street level hideout. Maybe something paid for by Iron Fist, maybe one of the Hood's old safehouses they'll take over. Something like that though.

I hope Infinite Avengers Mansion is destroyed and forgotten. I loved the Pym Pockets idea, but that idea got taken WAY too far with IAM.

I wouldn't see the point of 4 separate teams, then. Why not one great big JLU style team.

As was said, the Infinity Mansion should be the obvious choice for a base of operations for all things Avengers.

Just fix the old Avengers Mansion, and have it so that all members have that key Pym created so that they can use any door to get to the Infinity base.

More than enough room, and it's self cleaning. :smile:

I'd be fine if they were all in the Avengers Mansion and were working out of it.

I wouldn't mind having both the mansion and the tower as bases either but I get the feeling that the tower might be nixed in favor of something more traditional, especially with Sentry's watchtower being located on the same spot.

I could see all team operating out of Stark Tower but I would enjoy seeing the Avengers Mansion as well.

I don't even really know how many teams there are. I just keep hearing "4" thrown around.

Infinity Mansion is the coolest :cool:. They should all just use that. Honestly though ill be glad if they're all just not located in NY.

I think that the avengers mansion will be repaired and used by one of the teams (though it could be the Young Avengers, since they have a more recent story with the place, or at least, they too). It fits the 'heroic age' moto of reastauring things to their former glory *cough*, the rebuilding of the Mansion has to happen, regardless of the use.

I also think that the infinite mansion will either cease to be, or be severelly damage as to become much less efficient than it is now. Ultron is there and already occupied all but one of jocastas bodies, can't imagine how many other things are already compromised, not counting how many things they're going to break during the fight.

The Tower could stay, though the DA stain will probably turn them away from it. I think that Bucky or Steve's new 'house' may be one place too, perhaps the NA one (c'mon, they're totally going to give some flag bearer a place to live after Siege, it helps with the PR stuff).

And lastly I believe that at least one of the teams will get a new place, or so reformed and almost forgotten place that it counts as new. Can't start a new area without new visuals.
