Marvel, has released their fifth "Secret Avengers" teaser image this morning, showcasing what looks to be an armored figure attributed with the quote "I act upon my convictions regardless of personal consequences,"

There isn't a real consensus. Guesses this week have ranged from Scarlett Witch and sentry and Spider-Man to Sleepwalker, MoonNight and Taskmaster.

Some guesses are probably closer than others but there is no sure way to know.

For it to be Gauntlet one of the arms would have to be considerably larger than the other and here it looks like the lenght and size of both arms are about the same so I don't think it's him.

See...I'm thinking one of two things...Norman Osborn just based on the fact that Bru said expect the unexpected. But along that line of thinking and more likely I think would be American Son which seems to be getting a bit of a bump so we know this is a character Marvel is going to use. Just a thought.

Not according to IGN (don't have the link right now........sorry) According to them Marvel decided to switch off after Bendis's first five were revealed in favor of the Secret Avengers. IMO they probably did it because for the most part Bendis's cast of Avengers are gonna be fairly obvious where Brubaker's aren't. So yeah there's more roster reveals to come (at least as far as Bendis's book goes.......the rest I'm not sure about but I don't see why it would be any different.)

The silhouette looks NOTHING like the Rescue Armor...

The silhouette and Quote point to War Machine more than anyone else. Add to that the fact that it's been confirmed that War Machine will be up to something big around the same time Secret Avengers will launch.

There's a difference between a quote 'not fitting' and a quote that fits absolutely perfectly. That particular quote is spot on with WM's last volume. And if you're going generic, it could fit lots of people the don't wear armor at all.

Wow, I WAS excited about Secret Avengers, but now.....

this team seems to suck.

So far I'm thinking its:

-Black Panther or Beast
-Noh-Varr
-Some chick that looks kinda like thor girl
-Either Moon Knight, Taskmaster, or the Sentry (but i dont think its sentry)
-War Machine

I admit I haven't kept up with War Machine in solo books and what not.... but if you look at the teaser image, the figure has no visible hand on the left arm. The right arm, a hand shaped like a fist clear as day. The left arm, it appears to be like a canon or something. Does War Machine lack a left hand these days?

The Big 3 doesn't work for DC or Marvel. With the exception of Morrison's Big 3, but that's only because Superman was a glowing blue energy guy, and so he wasn't really Superman at all anyway.

don't have much exposure to him but he doesn't seem like the easy going or prick type of character i like. though i do like more serious types around easy going characters. makes a good team element.

Exactly. It makes sense that Steve Rogers will be in Brubaker's Secret Avengers when he will be in Captain America in a limited capacity.
