Is Bubba Ho Tep any good? I've been considering buying it.
Yeah, its a decent little film, very respectful of Elvis, but quite playful with his image at the same time. The main reason I bought it though is because it doesn't come out in the Movie theaters here until September. You might want to rent it first, if that's an option, and see if its blend of humour is for you.

No, but I have been watching one or two every night before I go to bed. They're not pristine prints, but some of them are off the only prints/tapes available so you take what you can get. I like 'em 'cuz they're what I used to watch on TV when I first got interested in films and monster movies.

I recently bought Quantum Leap season 1.
The set was a bit pricey for only 8 episodes (it was around $40), but it was, imo, well worth it.
All of the episodes are very good and I really like the extras in the set (every episode has a short mini intro by Scott Bakula! I hope they keep doing that with the other seasons!).
I'm VERY happy that I bought it (even though the set really should have been cheaper..lol! Universal also has the Northern Exposure set at $40 something and its only about 9 or less episodes..).
Of course...I'm almost done watching all of the episodes. I only have one more episode to watch!! *too bad theres not more episodes*

I went on a Cary Grant buying binge today. WHere did you buy these, and which editions did you get? I'm looking for recommendations. I've heard good things about the Criterion dvd's, for example, but apparently they can get a little expensive.
I recently bought the latest Michelle Yeah movie, Silver Hawk, which I quite enjoyed. Yeoh still has great charm and screen presence. Nice costumes, set design; editing a little choppy, and fight choreography not always up to her best work, but a fun light-hearted adventure movie all the same. I'd definitely recommend it, especially if you're already a Michelle Yeoh fan.

The FX though are wonderful; since I've never seen it before I don't know what was changed for this director's cut and what was kept from the original cut, but it all looked great and nothing seemed jarring and out of place. That's actually a nice sense of wonder to have while watching a movie (especially one of Lucas')

The 1966 movie has been available for some time. It has commentary by Adam West and Burt Ward. You may be thinking of the TV series. I think that has been held up by legalities.
