Has This Story Ever Been Told?

What if Amazons ruled the world? Whether it be because they conquered it, or because some global catastrophe happened, and they stepped up as the only remaining government left to organize the world, Or because it just always was.

I'm curious because I had a little daydream of a story involving Hell over taking the world (during the European Dark Ages), and after the armies of the old world have been crushed, the Amazons under Athena's guidance counter-attack and slowly but surely retake the world and force back the armies of Hell, only to then take control of the world itself.

What would that be like?

Sort of. The Golden Age Wonder Woman books had a couple of stories about a futuristic society where women have taken over the world.

I don't now about the golden age books but I think your scenario would certainly make for an interesting elseworlds tale. With all the Batman and Superman stories set in elseworlds I've always thought there should be more WW ones.

Super kinky. Skimpy feminized versions of uniforms and all that. There was a distinct dominatrix vibe to the women as well.

WW definitely needed more Elseworlds! Weren't there just Amazonia and the Blue Angel? If there are more, I missed them

Anyhow, the "Amazons rule" idea would indeed make a good alternate history tale - sort of like Amazons Attack done right.
