Who else thought this mini written by Marc Bernardin and Adam Freeman was awesome?

I thought it was a lot of fun
Wouldn't mind another mini of the Highwaymen in their heyday

I thought it was a very fun action comic. (Granted, it didn't hurt that I picked up the tpb for $5.) Count me in for more Highwaymen.

Me! I loved it! I want somebody to hurry up and make it into a movie. Sam Jackson and Bill Nighy. Sorted :)
I also think Lee Garbett did a terrific job with the artwork. His characters' facial expressions are wonderful, and his action sequences were punch-the-air stuff.
The Highwaymen is the reason I am 100% on board with Bernardin & Freeman's new run on Authority.

I like the Bill Nighy pick
But as much as i like Sammy L, I kinda see someone like Richard Roundtree as a better pick. He's older and got that physical heft that suits the character.

Yeah, I can see what you mean. I did think Sam L. might need to beef up and grey his hair a bit to play Monroe.
More films should have Bill Nighy in them. He is quality, whether he's acting in 'proper drama' (usually on TV) or hamming it up as a vampire or a pirate. I think he deserves a star vehicle, and McQueen could be it. His bone-dry voice would be perfect.
"She's lobbing old people at us."
"I told you it was a good idea." Heh :)

I hope the writers do a good enough job on the Authority that Wildstorm give them the ok for an ongoing or at least another mini.
I think my favorite scene was Abel feeling some bones crunch.

This was a fun slam-bang adventure read. I hope the creative team gets another nod for another mini-series utilizing both characters... AND THE CAR as well.
