Time for a new game! Make up your own line up for a band including a name (If you want). Now remember that they need to atleast be able to get along since they'll be touring together. Multiple bands are fine and give what genre they'de be playing.

Even though I'm already in a band (go Mences Juggernaut!), my dream band would consist of...
Maynard James Keenan (Tool)--Vocals
Trent Reznor (NIN)--Just about everything else.

The Duo of Johnny Whitney and Jordan Blilie (Blood Brothers)--More Vocals/Guitars/Keyboards
Me (Mences Juggernaut)--the Skanker (fat guy has to be the skanker)
Genre--TechnoCoreTronicaSweetness.
Band Name--The Dead, Bloody, Inch-Long Tools.
Maybe i'll think of a better band later, but it's gonna be hard to top this shit.

Well not really considering the heavy blues rock sound that Spike is angling for doesn't really fit the Dead's music, at least what I've heard of it. (Except maybe "Dark Star" which I find to be surprisingly nervy considering the rest of the music by them that I have heard.) I've always found to be based in bluegrass, folk, and country rock with lots of jamming, and nowhere near as heavy and incendiary as the kind of music you could expect from a combo featuring Hendrix, SRV, Moon, and Entwhistle. Moreover, Joplin's vocal style, rauchy blues and throaty soul singing, is very different from Garcia's.
Hmmmm...I'm going to have to think about this one...

Vocalist - Iggy Pop...circa 1978 or so.
Guitarist - Robert Quine
Bass - Bruce Foxton. Yes, the Bruce Foxton of the Jam. While that's probably an odd choice given that the Jam was a much more conventional pop band (if loaded with excellent playing and songwriting to boot) he's one of my favourite bassists and the basslines he played in the Jam were amazing, especially when playing off Paul Weller's guitar. It would be interesting to see how he reacts to a much stranger, less conventional guitarist (albeit one who is firmly rooted in three-chord guitar rock) like Robert Quine. I suppose I could've gone with Mike Watt of the Minutemen, but this strikes me as a more interesting prospect. I suppose the group needs at least some anchor of normalcy.
Keyboards - Allen Ravenstine; he was Pere Ubu's first keyboardist, and he had one of the more interesting approaches to playing them I have heard.
Drums - Stephen Morris; though in Joy Division mode when his drumming was angular and strange.
Genre - Something somewhere in the punk/post punk area.
Name - The Ticket That Exploded. http://www.issue9mm.com/forum/images/smiles/icon_cool.gif

True, true...though the name came from Jim Morrison's disdainful term for hippies (which became the name of the Door's failed fourth album). There was something about the name that seemed all-to-appropriate for a band consisting of some of the most tamest, unthreatening, snooze-inducing pop musicians today.
It was that or get crass and blatant and call them The Valiums.

It'd be funny if together they ended up being the hardest rocking band in history. No chance of that happening, but it'd still be funny. They've built up rage over their years of suckitude that they weren't able to release in their music, until now!

Here's one kickass bar band. I envision this band doing nothing but classic rock and blues covers each one with a 10-15 minute jam in the middle:

lead guitar/backing vocals: Stevie Ray Vaughn
rhythm guitar/2nd lead: either Stone Gossard or Mike McCready
piano/backing vocals: Bruce Hornsby

drums: John Bonham

Check out James "Blood" Ulmer, especially his earlier stuff from the 70s and early 80s. He worked under Ornette Coleman and is one of the few major guitarists of avante-garde jazz. His stuff from that era is just plain weird. His more recent stuff is blues based though with a strange, funk edge too it.
(But all costs avoid his Blues All Night album, which is some of the most listless, bloodless anti-rock I have ever heard.)

Scott Travis was the guy Kiss used on Creatures of the Night and Eric Carr was with Priest on Painkiller, both can lay down the thunder.
