Squire's "Steed-Cycle" made me laugh out loud. It's both incredibly cheesy and really bad-ass looking at the same time ... I mean, a horse with "Batman" style superimposed onto a motorcycle?
Cam Stewart's art wows me here - while I'm okay with Tan's artwork over the Red Hood arc for what it is, he didn't really capture Dick Grayson's more acrobatic nature as Batman the way Quitely did, and it appears Stewart will.

Cameron Stewart is halfway done with 8 as of...yesterday. So we'll see how fast he moves I suppose.

I'm so happy to have Cameron Stewart on this. He's a huge improvement over Tan

I think Cameron's the best artist on the book so far.
I love his catwoman work.
You see. You don't need overly muscled heroes to make them badass.

Better than Frank? I don't see it.
What I would love to see is some Philip Bond on the book.

Something Quietly did quite well I thought.
Unless you where just drawing a parallel?

I loved the look of Quitely's Batman, it was just right, not ridiculously muscular like a lot of artists seems top be doing (Jim Lee) but you could clearly he looked strong and was awesome.
As for Cameron's art, I'm a little divided, I like it in some shots, well it's lot better than I thought it was going to be, still slightly cartoony, but I love how captures the movement, an earlier post said something about illustrating Grayson's acrobatic nature, I agree, I'm really digging that aspect of it.
Also Tan's art has gotten so much hassle for being terrible, when it wasn't actually that bad, there are some panels which I really like, but it was just that it was such a dramatic change from Quitley's magic.

It looks great. I love artists that show movement in and between panels this well (one of the reasons I love Quitely's work), so that's good.
Also, I'm showing my noob colors here, but who is Squire?

Squire is Beryl Hutchinson, the third Squire and partner of the second Knight Cyril Sheldrake (the second Squire, son of the original Knight, and original Squire Percy Sheldrake- Cyril was Percy's partner as a child/teenager). The Knight and Squire are the British representatives in the International Club of Heroes, AKA the Batmen of Many Nations. The original Squire was a partner of the Shining Knight in the All-Star Squadron, and grew up to be the original Knight. After his death, his son, the second Squire took his place and Beryl became his partner as the newest Squire some time later. She seems a little bit infatuated with Tim Drake, and with the Knight served as members of the Ultra-Marine Corps for a time. Currently, they are back in England as their "dynamic duo."

I'm gonna be controversial here, and reveal I'm not a huge fan of either Stewart OR Quietly. While I think they are both masters at panel layouts and conveying movement, I do find their art a little too cartoony for my tastes. Batman should be darker than this...
I know I'm gonna get mauled now, so sorry in advance

that's cool, but these guys are both masters of making this seemingly cartoony stuff really really damned dark

Really, really easy to follow, and great layout work. Stewart's a great story-teller!
I wish Stewart had done the "Red Hood" arc, too, since his style works really well with Quietly's and so does Any Clarke's. This would have made for a more consistent tone.

I could see how you might think Stewart's art is cartoony (I think it is a bit myself) but I always thought Quitely's art looked nothing like a cartoon. It's hard to say what looks cartoony or not, and it's really difficult to describe how it's cartoony , I don't really understand it, it's more about taste in art. If you don't like Quitely's art that's fine.

Cant wait for this issue. Love Cam Stewart on the Guardian. It was dark, but still kept his style. Also glad they got Andy Clarke next. Hes very underrated.

In a perfect world, Batman and Robin would be drawn by Quietly and Stewart only. I love both artists work so much, they have so much expression of movement and subtle touches that truly add to the story. They also work so well with their writers, not just Morrison (though they do shine when it comes to working with the man).
I look forward to these three issues, not because of the bigger ramifications to the DCU and Blackest Night, but because it's Morrison and Stewart working together and that is always fantastic.

In a perfect world, Grant Morrison's entire run would have been illustrated by Williams or Quitely.

As much as I like Williams, I'm not sure he has the right flow for this story. Neither did Tan. I think Stewart and Quitely draw similar enough that it's not such a shock to the system when you see the arcs side by side.
