It's had tons of names over the years. Here's a list of the ones I've been able to find.

So, which name sounds best for that chemical Joker uses to give people a smile so natural only their undertaker knows for sure.

I tend to call it the Joker's Toxin/Poison/Gas.

So I voted for Joker Toxin.

Joker venom, because it's usually best to go with the original.

Joker Venom or just simply Laughing Gas.

Is there really a difference between "Joker Venom" and "Joker Toxin"?

Personally, I believe that different names should be used for different variants of the stuff. The insta-kill version, for example, should be "Perma-Smile".

I actually like Joker Juice. Has a silly nice alliterative ring to it.

I always thought perma smile was more the result of the poison rather than a poison in and of itself. IE, "Joe Smith was clearly the victim of Joker Venom, as we can see in the noticeable perma smile...."

The only bad part about the term "Venom" is that it might be too easily confused with Bane's steroid on steroids.

However, going along with your suggestions here's what I think it should go.

I've changed my mind somewhat, I think generally speaking it's best to refer to it as Joker Toxin.

Joker Venom is the term for when the Poison is injected into the victim somehow. The poison on the end of those meddle spike things the Joker likes to use would be called "Joker Venom"

As opposed to the gas which would be referred to as Laughing Gas, for lack of a more original term. Both are variants of Joker toxin but delivered into the victims system in very different ways.

Joker Juice.

Even though the dirty part of my brain thinks of something else...

And on a vaguely related note concerning Joker's arsenal... his acid-squirting lapel flower is easily imitable enough, but would a nitroglycerin cigar work in real life?

Joker Juice makes me smirk, so I'll go with that.

Has it ever been called Smilex in the comics?

Nah, I think that the '89 movie invented that name.

Come to think of it, DCAU Joker's profile on Cartoon Network's website also calls it Smilex. Of course, I can't verify that, as CN has deleted all references to the DCAU from their website.

Also, the DCAU takes a lot of references from the Burton films, so it makes sense.

"Joker Juice" as I can imagine the Joker using that name himself.
I don't think he'd give anything quite so ridiculous a serious name (as if he could ever give anything a serious name).
Referring to something that can kill in such a flippant way makes it seem all the more insane and frightening.

IIRC, some cans of it at the end of No Man's Land were branded as 'Smilex'.

I like Smilex because it feels like a brand name Joker would actually try to develop a reputation for. I really don't see him outting his own name on alot of things. It's just not original enough for him.
