View Full Version : Where do YOU come from?

Something I've noticed is that this forum seems a little more global than the X-forums, for example, which is mainly Americans with small Canadian and British contingents. So I was wondering, where do you guys all come from? How much more/less global is the Wonder Woman fan base that posts here?

I'm from New Orleans, Louisiana.

Born in freaking Wisconsin.

I was saved at the age of 3 by my dad, who found a nice job in the south.

Man, that was close, just a bit more and i would have ended as a Packers fan....just to thought of it....that's so frightening.

I live in Oakville and have a slightly amusing story for you, Ship.

On the night of November 30th, I was looking at the tv listings channel, which of course also has a news ticker. This was around 10 pm or 10:30. One of the items on the ticker said that if it didn't snow today, it would be the first November in which there had been no snow here in over 70 years.

I thought "Well, they must have put that on the ticker earlier in the day and just not bothered to take it down, because what are the chances that it's going to snow between now and midnight?"

And as it turned out, it didn't snow.

At 2 am I was still awake, and happened to look out the window.

A good deal of snow, falling and sticking to the ground. JUST past the deadline. It was gone by the next day, but it was indisputably snow.

Mother Nature likes to screw with our heads, methinks.

"Were are you from" in my case can mean "where were you born" (Mozambique) or "where do you live" (Portugal).

What do you identify as, then? An African living in Europe or a European who happens to have been born in Africa?

And what does your accent sound like? (for curiosity) I've never heard the accents of anyone from either of the countries you're linked to.
